Philipburn Hotel, BW Signature Collection

We recently celebrated our wedding at the Philipburn Hotel, on 7th September. Adrian, Graham and Lesley certainly went above and beyond on the day to make it a great experience for all who attended. The wedding ceremony took place in the gardens of the hotel, followed by the reception in the Linglie Suite. The wedding meal was absolutely amazing, with all guests commenting on how good the meal was. The whole day was perfect. We could not have asked for better and cannot thank them enough. Our only issues we encountered was the run up to the wedding when we were informed that we needed to find a hairdresser and a photographer which was part of the package. This was a stressful situation for us both as we had paid for an all inclusive wedding and did not expect to be involved in doing their job for them and getting involved in this way. However, it wasn’t something that couldn’t be resolved and went smoothly in the end. A big thank you to Hetties of Melrose for stepping in at the last moment and a huge thank you to Ali Graham for being such an amazing photographer, both hairdresser and photographer went above and beyond what we asked for.

I stayed here with work colleagues on the 19th of march 25, what a place it was so nice from the standards of the rooms and hotel and friendliness of all the staff. the room was really large and a massive bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and separate double shower. The evening meal and breakfast are well worth the money. I would recommend staying here if in the area. and will defiantly be back.

Excellent stay at Philipburn House Hotel. Adrian was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Lounge area comfortable and warm with interesting decor and plants. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Room was well furnished with mezzanine sitting area and balcony.

Stayed here while working on a project locally - I was welcomed by Adrian & instantly made to feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble & the team went the extra mile to make my stay relaxing & comfortable. Hotel has character with a great atmosphere & comfortable rooms which are all different. The food is excellent with 'specials' that change daily which is a bonus when staying multiple nights / weeks. The hotel also offers EV charging.

Booked the Philipburn on a 2 night for the price of 1 deal including breakfast. The hotel is located approximately a 20minute walk to the centre of Selkirk. The Hotel was very quiet in fact on the Saturday evening we were the only guests. The breakfasts were excellent with many choices , we also booked evening meals at the Hotel on both nights. The meals were served in a small lounge area with a lovely warming gas fire. We booked a superior room which was set out on 2 levels. The rooms were very well furnished especially the bathroom. We used the Hotel as a base to visit the Borders, Melrose is well worth a visit also Kelso All the staff at the Hotel were very friendly and would do anything to fulfil any requests you have. Adrian the owner served the breakfasts whilst Aila served the evening dinner in a chatty very pleasant manner. Would definitely visit again if the opportunity arose.

On the 9th January booked a High tea over the phone at Philpburn hotel for the 4th February..my elderly mothers birthday was booked well in advance the gentleman took £45 card payment to buy stock in (fair enough). We arrived on rhe 4th February to the hotel a cold wet afternoon. The door was locked a man came to the door asked if he could help. We had arrived for our high tea this had been overlooked.he said.. he offered to reschedule, and I refused asked for refund and had to wait 3 days. Absolute disgrace won't be back
