Das Hotel Garni am Seggauberg bietet einen wunderschönen Ausblick von den Balkonen und der Terrasse. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das angeschlossene Restaurant Hasenwirt, in dem man köstliche steirische Spezialitäten genießen kann. Der Service dort, insbesondere durch Kellner Sascha, ist professionell und freundlich. Leider endet hier das Positive. Die Zimmer sind in einem stark renovierungsbedürftigen Zustand. Mein Waschbecken war gesprungen, diverse Löcher waren lieblos zugekleistert, die Holztischplatte aufgezogen, und das Dampfbad sowie der Massagesprudel im Schwimmbad funktionierten nicht. Am schlimmsten war jedoch das Bett: durchgelegene Lattenroste und Matratzen verhinderten einen erholsamen Schlaf. Jede Bewegung ließ das Bett laut knarren. Auch die Platzierung des Fernsehers war unpraktisch – er stand neben dem Nachtkästchen, sodass Fernsehen vom Bett aus nicht möglich war. Auf meine Reklamation hin zeigte mir eine bemühte Mitarbeiterin ein anderes Zimmer. Leider musste sie selbst eingestehen, dass alle Betten in demselben schlechten Zustand sind. Erschreckend ist, dass bereits seit mindestens fünf Jahren in Rezensionen auf diese Missstände hingewiesen wird – und sich offenbar nichts verbessert hat. Fazit: Wer nur für den schönen Ausblick und das Restaurant kommt, wird hier zufrieden sein. Wer Wert auf eine angenehme Unterkunft legt, sollte sich besser nach einer Alternative umsehen. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, das Badezimmer inkl. WC ist ausreichend groß - beides ist sehr gepflegt. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und bemüht. Es ist möglich, zum Frühstück glutenfreies Gebäck (wird frisch aufgebacken) zu erhalten. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr umfangreich und ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Das angrenzende Restaurant Hasenwirt hat eine sehr gute Küche (mit glutenfreien Optionen), allerdings mit eingeschränkten Öffnungszeiten. Außerhalb der Restaurantöffnungszeiten gibt es einen Lounge-Bereich, wo man gekühlte Getränke (regionale Weine, Bier, Limonaden, Wasser etc.) selbst entnehmen kann.

Dit is een hotel waarvan de foto’s op het internet beduidend beter zijn dan wat je in werkelijkheid aantreft. Als je een hotelkamer voor twee personen superior Room boekt, mag je wel iets beters verwachten. De kamers zijn weliswaar ruim maar zeer gedateerd. Er zitten vlekken in de hoeken bij het gordijn en de vloerbedekking is volledig verkleurd. De gordijnen laten vooralsnog alles zonlicht door, waardoor we om 5:00 uur moeten opstaan. Het terras buiten bevat slechts een stoel en is niet comfortabel. De buiten lamp voor het terras moet je er zelf bij verzinnen.Het restaurant was niet beschikbaar voor de gasten omdat er een bruiloft werd gegeven. Hierdoor moesten wij naar Leibnitz rijden , 6 kilometer verderop. Al met al een fikse tegenvaller.
