We had an overnight stay at the King William 1V, to celebrate my birthday, having booked a superior room (room 6). The inn is in a rural village a short drive from the A149 (Kings Lynn to Hunstanton road), turn off by Norfolk Lavender, which is well worth a visit in it's own right, it has a great farm shop! The inn is a large, very attractive, white building, with a spacious carpark. The welcome we received on entering, was very warm and friendly, to summarise, all the staff we encountered, were friendly, knowledgeable, and nothing was too much trouble for them, a credit to the Coaching Inn Group. The interior of the inn had been refurbished in the spring, by the new owners, and the furnishings and decor were tasteful, stylish, and comfortable. Our room was spacious, with a queen bed, and remote controlled lighting and air conditioning, (manual controls also available), with lovely views of the outdoor garden area and car park. We dined at the inn, and enjoyed excellent meals. The menu is NOT gastro, but classic British with a twist, in my opinion. Very acceptable choices. Breakfast, too was excellent, with great choices, and a buffet selection of cereals, pastries, fruits, toasts, etc. Ample for all! We intend to visit again!!
