Ace Hotel Seattle

Belltown Seattle|2.99km from Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91
Stayed here last month with a friend for a few nights since flight was cheap and it was close to my birthday. Check-in was quick and easy with Brandon and Tracy. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Our room was nice and I liked that they had cotton pads and cotton swabs in the room for guest use. There were bathrobes in the room which is nice but we didn’t use them. Desk and desk chair were a little dusty, but I assume people don’t really use it often and it’s nothing you couldn’t brush off yourself. There was a bit of street noise at night because our room was right above the neighboring restaurant/bar but that’s not an issue for me. Loved the tea selection they had in the kitchen. Laundry machines are mildly expensive, you’re looking at 8 dollars to wash and dry minus cost of detergent, but it’s worth it if you have a lot of clothes because the machines are big (we were only here for a few days so we didn’t utilize this.) For some reason all of our Uber drivers had trouble finding the location and always drove past the hotel even though it’s right on the corner but all of them were pretty nice about turning back around. This place is a short walk to Pike Place Market, which we absolutely loved going to. Tracy recommended a few places that sounded really lovely to go to, but we didn’t end up having enough time to go everywhere we wanted this time. I don’t know if this place is ADA friendly because you use stairs to go to the communal kitchen and even to the front desk but I assume there are other routes.

The front desk staff was very helpful with the logistics of checking in, laundry service, and renting a bicycle. The cleaning staff greeted me every morning in the hallways! The bar staff was friendly and inquisitive. The gym was cramped and the water machine was broken. The pool was enjoyable and the lounge area was pleasant. The bed was dreamy and something to look forward to after a long day!

Checked in on the 15th. Told my significant other to call ahead and request early checkin ( traveling with young children ) Arrived around 1045am. At first the girl at the desk didn’t even read the notes ( or maybe no notes were inputed ). Stepped into the conversation as my significant other was the one who made the reservation. I kindly asked if we could get a complimentary early checkin and that I would leave a stellar review, as the desk agent ( female ) was about to just checkin our luggage only. Jacob the FOM steps in and sees there’s a room available, gets us in AND gives us complimentary breakfast for our 2 day stay. Super friendly, super professional could tell he didn’t mind accommodating us. FYI I have a SIGNIFICANT amount of front desk management experience in Anchorage, Alaska. Being respectful and polite to the staff at the hotel goes a LONG way. Be nice. And you will have a great stay GM… it’s people like Jacob who will one day take your job if you don’t do your job correctly ;) Keep up the good work Jacob you have tons of potential! Cyrus

Lower Queen Anne
A hotel that is perfect for family travels. Every aspect is carefully designed, warm and practical, giving people the feeling. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The dining environment is particularly atmospheric. You can also sit there for coffee and computer while you are not dining. Even more surprising is that dinner is also free. If you come back late, you can take freshly baked biscuits in the lobby. The location is quiet and safe. The main attractions such as the Seal needle and pike market are all within walking distance.

This place was picked on its location to the Princess cruise port. We needed a pre-cruise stay, and I was able to book two rooms with points and cash. The day of the stay, the hotel called and asked us and our other travel couple would stay in a two bedroom, two bathroom suite? I confirmed that it was indeed a two BEDROOM, two BATHROOM, and it was for the same price as our one room and points were refunded! It was confirmed and with an easy check-in, we were into our room for our stay. We had dinner across the street at Cairde Public House Bar & Restaurant, and the next morning a quick bite in the breakfast room. The hotel was packed that weekend and we used the breakfast overflow. Thank you Maxine and Jeff at the Hampton Inn for helping us kick off our vacation.

This was one of the best Hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. It began with an amazing Valet named Earnest. He was the most congenial and friendly valet I have ever met. He was unable to park our 1 ton truck in the underground parking. I had a bunch of tools in the back for a IT installation job I was in town to complete. Earnest felt genuinely concerned for the wellbeing of our vehicle and my tools. He went out of his way to help me empty the vehicle, and checked all of the items (which was a lot) in the baggage area of the hotel. He then helped to find street parking which was in a safe area, and actually saved us $60 in parking fees. After all of this Earnest then made an amazing dinner suggestion and even provided us with coupons which saved us a great deal on our dinner. As I returned to the hotel each day during my stay Earnest greeted me by name, without reminder. That is a feat in my book as I often can't remember coworkers names whom I interact with daily, for years. My wife and child accompanied me on this business trip. They eventually became visibly stir crazy. The Desk clerk noticed and provided all sorts of coloring books, crafts, games etc for my 4 year old. This without us asking. I did not get her name unfortunately. After our trip we thought we had left some items behind. We called the hotel frantic because the items were irreplicable. The staff (each and every one we spoke to, one of whom named Cindy) were genuinely concerned and eager to help us locate the items. Calling us back to update us with their search regularly, and even offering to ship the items to us immediately once found. Beyond the absolutely impeccable staff the hotel itself is beautiful. If you love pre-war architecture and design it is an absolute gem. It is like a time capsule. Every room has a milk door, and the electrical is all retrofitted because the building clearly predates electricity. AS bonus they have a café, salon, skin care facility, and speakeasy on site. The speakeasy was closed during our stay, but the café was wonderful. We did not try the other services. I will likely stay here on each and every visit to Seattle. It's an absolutely perfect hotel!

The location is very good, just below the cosmic needle, it is easy to find. The breakfast was great, there was a parking garage, the disadvantage was the one-way street around the hotel, in and out was not convenient.
