The hotel is very close to the Pike market and is convenient for travel. The room is clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable

The service was acceptable. Nothing notable. They did what was required. Nothing more, nothing less. Facilities are again, acceptable, but in need of updating. They're dated and basic. There is no food at the hotel. You can go to the hotel next door to the little pan-asian place, or Denny's. Otherwise, you can take a short trip down International Blvd and there are more restaurants. There are probably better hotels in the area proportionately for the money, but it is very conveniently located within walking distance to the airport. Star rating? I'd give it a 3/5.

We stayed here before our Alaska Cruise and had a very good experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Rooms include a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, iron, and safe. Dove bath products are provided. Hair dryer is attached to the bathroom wall. The front desk staff were so polite and professional at every interaction. We did pay for the package that included breakfast at Toast and Toast restaurant next door to the hotel. Food was good and generous portions. Coffee is not included so take a little cash with you. Short walk to the Space Needle. Upon check in, we signed up for the shuttle to the cruise port for $10 a person plus tip. Driver was on time, very friendly. Although we did see a few homeless people, we never felt unsafe.

I have to note that I have stayed in so many hotels relocating from the East Coast to the West Coast, and I’ve been very surprised at certain hotel chains. This hotel was a delight!! I’ve worked in customer service for years, and I was always told that you be able to know who the manager is just by their leadership skills; I knew immediately that Raj was the General Manager. His professionalism, accuracy, and customer service skills were impeccable; by far the best I’ve seen and I’ve stayed at 25 different hotels during this journey. The hotel itself is also wonderful, which reflects on management also. Every front desk employee was excellent, and I appreciate some humor, and got some from a young lady. The rooms are immaculate, and very spacious; there are a lot of places to meet all your needs in terms of toiletries, wine, and many other things. You can ask the front desk so many questions and not only will they give you the answers, but they will make sure you understand where you are going. The entire team was dressed perfectly, something I’ve noticed has been lacking in other hotels. I think it’s also in the perfect location, because your right outside of Seattle, but not in the middle of all the chaos so you have a great deal peace, but can get to the city in 15 minutes approximately, This has been my favorite hotel that we have stayed at since bouncing around the Seattle area. I applaud Raj, and all management as well as the front desk agents, you truly are all wonderful, and I felt at home but better bc the hotel is just wonderful in all respects. Thank you North Gate for restoring my faith in hotels again.

We have stayed in this gem of a hotel at least five times now, and it is consistently excellent. Seattle offers many lodging options, and this hotel has become our favorite. We love this small chain and have stayed in nearly all of them. This Seattle hotel is the jewel in the crown as far as we're concerned, not necessarily because it is the most fancy but because the staff always go out of their way to make the experience a genuinely welcoming one. The pineapple theme is charming, and this particular hotel layers in a fun 60s theme that is upbeat and nicely done. The rooms and lobby are always immaculate, the bedding among the most comfortable of any upper-end hotels, the amenities are appealing without being pretentious. Self-Parking is safe and easy on the premises, creative snacks are offered at the desk, and the rates are among the most affordable for an area that is often challenging. We hope that someday they are able to bring back their breakfast and cute bar. The staff is consistently helpful, genuinely warm, and consummately professional, going out of their way to find ways of making our stay memorable. This particular University Inn managed to do this even in the worst days of the pandemic lockdown when we had to be in the area for serious reasons. We really appreciate the kindness and high quality that the management of this hotel manages to find in exceptional caliber of its hotel staff, especially at a time when so many organizations are struggling to keep even minimum staffing levels. The location is very good, walking distance to the majority of tourist sites in the city. Check-in was fast and efficient. The room was a very good size and very clean, but felt a bit dated. Housekeeping on request only, which seems to be becoming the standard in the US these days.

We have stayed here before and it was good as always! Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Location is great for easy access onto the I5 and taking transit into downtown or UW campus etc. The staff were friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was average - there were some allergy alternatives prepared in the back, just have to ask. Breakfast could have healthier options. Our safe didn’t work but the Wi-Fi worked well and the mini-fridge and microwave were nice to have.

Outside the hotel is Lake Washington, while Boeing is next to the park, the environment is super good, the restaurant has a Chinese chef, very warm, when he goes to work, he will take the initiative to give us porridge, the restaurant's steak is also great! Very warm hotel, I have stayed at three hotels in Seattle, and my daughter said that this hotel is the most comfortable!

The geographical advantage, the roommates staying are also very conscious, will not affect each other. There is space under the bed for storing large boxes for $2. Breakfast is simple.

Sweet spot in the heart of Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood. Small but very clean and comfortable rooms with kitchenette and espresso (pod) machines. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Major transit (bus) stops also within walking distance.
