Hotels near Alki Beach Park in Seattle

The hotel is in an excellent location, the facilities are not new but very advanced and very old style. The bath is wide and the bath is comfortable. The TV is big and the ball is good. The room was clean. The bed is comfortable.

The service was acceptable. Nothing notable. They did what was required. Nothing more, nothing less. Facilities are again, acceptable, but in need of updating. They're dated and basic. There is no food at the hotel. You can go to the hotel next door to the little pan-asian place, or Denny's. Otherwise, you can take a short trip down International Blvd and there are more restaurants. There are probably better hotels in the area proportionately for the money, but it is very conveniently located within walking distance to the airport. Star rating? I'd give it a 3/5.

We stayed here before our Alaska Cruise and had a very good experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Rooms include a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, iron, and safe. Dove bath products are provided. Hair dryer is attached to the bathroom wall. The front desk staff were so polite and professional at every interaction. We did pay for the package that included breakfast at Toast and Toast restaurant next door to the hotel. Food was good and generous portions. Coffee is not included so take a little cash with you. Short walk to the Space Needle. Upon check in, we signed up for the shuttle to the cruise port for $10 a person plus tip. Driver was on time, very friendly. Although we did see a few homeless people, we never felt unsafe.

A roomy room with a decent view. The staff was kind and attentive. I liked being able to walk to the museum and to Target. Alexa in the room was a nice touch. The inside doors of the elevators need revisiting and numbering order in them is one of a kind.

We have stayed in this gem of a hotel at least five times now, and it is consistently excellent. Seattle offers many lodging options, and this hotel has become our favorite. We love this small chain and have stayed in nearly all of them. This Seattle hotel is the jewel in the crown as far as we're concerned, not necessarily because it is the most fancy but because the staff always go out of their way to make the experience a genuinely welcoming one. The pineapple theme is charming, and this particular hotel layers in a fun 60s theme that is upbeat and nicely done. The rooms and lobby are always immaculate, the bedding among the most comfortable of any upper-end hotels, the amenities are appealing without being pretentious. Self-Parking is safe and easy on the premises, creative snacks are offered at the desk, and the rates are among the most affordable for an area that is often challenging. We hope that someday they are able to bring back their breakfast and cute bar. The staff is consistently helpful, genuinely warm, and consummately professional, going out of their way to find ways of making our stay memorable. This particular University Inn managed to do this even in the worst days of the pandemic lockdown when we had to be in the area for serious reasons. We really appreciate the kindness and high quality that the management of this hotel manages to find in exceptional caliber of its hotel staff, especially at a time when so many organizations are struggling to keep even minimum staffing levels. Great place: excellent location, very clean and nice set up. Good value for the price.

I have to note that I have stayed in so many hotels relocating from the East Coast to the West Coast, and I’ve been very surprised at certain hotel chains. This hotel was a delight!! I’ve worked in customer service for years, and I was always told that you be able to know who the manager is just by their leadership skills; I knew immediately that Raj was the General Manager. His professionalism, accuracy, and customer service skills were impeccable; by far the best I’ve seen and I’ve stayed at 25 different hotels during this journey. The hotel itself is also wonderful, which reflects on management also. Every front desk employee was excellent, and I appreciate some humor, and got some from a young lady. The rooms are immaculate, and very spacious; there are a lot of places to meet all your needs in terms of toiletries, wine, and many other things. You can ask the front desk so many questions and not only will they give you the answers, but they will make sure you understand where you are going. The entire team was dressed perfectly, something I’ve noticed has been lacking in other hotels. I think it’s also in the perfect location, because your right outside of Seattle, but not in the middle of all the chaos so you have a great deal peace, but can get to the city in 15 minutes approximately, This has been my favorite hotel that we have stayed at since bouncing around the Seattle area. I applaud Raj, and all management as well as the front desk agents, you truly are all wonderful, and I felt at home but better bc the hotel is just wonderful in all respects. Thank you North Gate for restoring my faith in hotels again.

The location of the hotel is very good, in the city center, you can walk to the subway station, there are shopping malls and bus stations nearby. The sanitary conditions of the hotel are average. There is a lot of dust in the indoor air conditioner. After staying for two nights, the refrigerator in the room made a lot of noise at night. It is located on the third floor and the outdoor machine is very noisy at night. It is recommended to avoid the third floor.
