Promenade Inn & Suites Oceanfront

The room was incorrect but the staff fixed it and they were very helpful. The new room had someone else’s leftovers and a used coffee pod in the coffee maker with no available coffee for our use. Overall it was still a decent a stay. No air conditioning just box fans but we survived.

This is an older hotel in a great location. Pay the extra for a view. The beds are old and need to be replaced as of this date July 2023. The first room one can tell the bed needed to be replaced by the look. Then attempting to sleep, it was lumpy. I had to complain to front desk and they moved us rooms and that bed too was old but better than the first room. The one person at the front desk did us good.

Room was small but comfortable and clean. The stairs were quite troublesome during the rain but was very thankful that they did have two elevators, no ice machine on the 3rd floor( which is where we were) fridge was nice size and very very clean! coffee in room was a plus we had a room with no view but it did have a bathtub and check in was easy and check out was even easier!

It was a very nice hotel to stay in, the property was very nice and clean, and staff was very kind. Would definitely stay here again.💗

The staff was wonderful. The hotel is really ran down and could use some upgrades. Only 1 elevator worked and was so slow then even stopped working when we left.

The hotel looks run down. The hot tub was closed as it was the last time I was there too. The hotel is conveniently located to the beach and shops.

Got a room facing the ocean with a loft and a picture window of the ocean but the window had condensation between the panes and you could barely see out of it .the elevator is shockingly dlow if yourvon the 5th floor better get used to the stairs .the hot tub wasnt working. $175.oo a night off season in February. For a room you cant see the ocean from becouse of old windows.sad

First, let me say that we are pretty regular visitors to this particular Shiloh. It’s in a great location and the better rooms have a great view of the ocean, beach, and promenade. Many bars, restaurants, and shops are within easy walking distance, even in the cold weather. But, unfortunately, the property is not being maintained or run well at all right now. Check-in was great — easy and quick — but, we hater found out much information was not given at that time. For example, there is no housekeeping provided unless requested. As we were only there two nights, it wasn’t a huge issue, but we didn’t know and therefore didn’t get more coffee packets, extra towels, or a blanket that we requested. Our room had several issues — the door to the balcony was very difficult to open and the lock was broken. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we anrrived, including all the glasses and cups, and there was no dishwashing detergent so we could run it ourselves. There were no kitchen towels so we did dishes with bathroom hand towels, further depleting the towel supply that was never replenished. The refrigerator worked great, but it sounded like a washing machine stuck on the spin cycle all night long. The building itself was also in need of serious maintenance. Only one elevator worked, and even that one was bouncy and ****y. The hot tub and the steam room were both out of order. Overall, we were disappointed with this visit. Hoping things improve before we return.

I did not like or appreciate that the hot tub is not available. They should let people know that the hot tub is not available!! The whole reason I booked at the Shilo by the sea was to see the sea we were given a room with no view! And no hot tub on a valentines getaway is a total bummer and I feel taken advantage of and scammed. I will not be staying here again nor recommending this place to my friends and family.
