The sanitation is good, the environment is average, there are many mirrors in the room, and the big mirror facing the bed makes it really hard to fall asleep and sleep unsteadily. The service is problematic. After we finished breakfast, the child was still drinking a cup of hot water waiting for it to cool down before drinking it. He was actually stopped by the waiter We were kicked out of the breakfast room as they said it was closed and asked us to leave immediately while several of the waiters were having their staff meal. It was really inhumane. Our car also had a small new scratch on it from being in the parking lot for a day, so we were not too happy with it.

Can't recommend - made a confirmed reservation for 2 nights for July '25 but after 4 days got an email just saying "Your reservation No. ### has been cancelled" tried to get an explanation from the hotel but haven't received any answer to my mail. Bad experience

A charming period house offers elegance and comfort at fantastic prices. Safe underground parking and a short walk to the historic university. Of course there are one or two minor compromises, if you want corporate uniformity it would be best to look elsewhere.

Where do I start , bathroom is open to bedroom, no slippers with dressing gowns, no plug sockets near bed the terrace is lovely but only 1 chair , no desk half of small wardrobe is taken up with empty mini bar, safe and 2 little drawers. Small TV. I may seem picky but expect a little more for the price. Garage door held open with scaffold pole for past 3 months . The 2 reception staff were great though.

Good points Hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Good location about 15 mins walk to main restaurant/historical part, but there are some places for food closer. On paper the facilities look great, saunas, indoor pool, gym, etc. Bar for drinks cocktails etc Bad points There wasn't even water in the room, just 2 x glasses. When we enquired we were told we had to fetch some from the mini market? This was after a 4 hour journey in the heat. Unforgivable for not even having the basic necessities. Also when we asked for coffee we were told the same there are no facilities to make a drink in the room or get one at the hotel except at breakfast. The facilities were also very disappointing, the steam room out of service, the sauna also wasn't working and the pool was too cold for us to swim in without it being comfortable. It's a shame this hotel has let the facilities degrade as it could be a really nice place with a lot to offer. But unfortunately for us, not even having water available along with or the facility to buy a coffee or something from the hotel is unacceptable so we could not recommend

The location, at the foot of the upper part of the city, is excellent in itself, a little less so in terms of availability of public transport. It is an old building, once owned by some notable of the place, recently renovated. The rooms are large and bright, with bathroom, but no bidet. While the external soundproofing is good, the internal one, due to the wooden floors, makes a few too many creaks. The garage, free, is not the most comfortable, given the narrow spaces for maneuvering. Good breakfast. I did not use the other services (swimming pool, gym, etc.) The girl at the reception is polite and helpful. When we returned at 5 pm we had the unpleasant surprise of finding the room in the same condition in which we had left it, that is, with the bed to be made. Rating it 4 stars seems a little optimistic to me, I would say an excellent 3 stars.

Fantastic hotel, unique in its location. Breakfast very well served. Fantastic SPA to spend a relaxed moment. Enjoy Coimbra and the location of this hotel. Very competent and friendly staff, always willing to help.
