La Locandiera Affittacamere

The accommodation was very nice and clean, centrally located, with spectacular views from the balcony. But no breakfast, no answer to question. After all, we had already paid so the hostess showed no more interest!

First holiday with our friends and Marcolino, for my children, the Ukrainian, due to the resemblance to a friend of theirs. The B&B La Locandiera is lucky enough to be in an extraordinary location. In an alley of Chianalea di Scilla with a breathtaking view of the sea. Very large and clean room. The bathroom might need to be refurbished. The shower dated as well as the taps. Heated water with a spoiler. The water arrives after a few minutes. Old and worn out towels. Overall, however, an excellent room, and in any case with a balcony overlooking the sea that is worth 90% of the price, a price that I consider normal. I don't know if it happens all the time or only in September. Check-in is done remotely. No person at the reception, no breakfast in the morning. Only two codes communicated by telephone to enter the structure and the room. For me it is a flaw of the structure. I prefer to be welcomed upon my arrival and maybe even to be guided a little in my stay. However, the cleanliness and the location give the B&B added value and then it was the location of our first of many trips with Rachele and Raffaele.

No welcome and they don't answer you immediately even on the phone. Quite shabby. A dot for the cute Scylla and panorama! More landlords. There is better in the surrounding area and even if there seems to be no place, something pops up. The locals are very kind. The village is worth visiting. The shuttle to enter easily with ke suitcases costs 8 euros.

Owner never seen, spoke to a person in charge who could only listen to our grievances. Non-existent breakfast, as soon as we arrived the fridge and water heater were detached, there wasn't even a bottle of water. In the bathroom only 2 microscopic sachets of bubble bath. Remember to bring some clothespins if you want to rinse and hang up your swimsuits. Hotel price considering that we paid 97 euros for one night.

It was really a disappoin**ent, but not because of the place which is nice, well maintained and in a great location, but because of the absolutely inadequate trea**ent. We NEVER saw the owners or anyone at the front desk. We were greeted by a very friendly and kind handyman who accompanied us to our rooms after checking in via whatsapp, obviously without being able to give us any other information. The owners (or rather I think the owner, because she didn't introduce herself) contacted me by phone only to ask me, exactly an hour after our arrival, to settle the entire room bill before the end of the evening, which I promptly done, despite having to stay two more nights and usually the balance is paid upon departure and not upon arrival (always through an online site). From the next morning, when we realized that the bed and breakfast had absolutely not provided any breakfast, no one deigned to reply to my messages. We had to provide breakfast ourselves, choosing another B&B nearby which fortunately also did service for outdoors (obviously and rightly for a fee). Even once I left the room, to my request to check, at the time of cleaning, if I had forgotten an object that I lost in the room, I did not receive any response. It's really the first time I've come across such rude and unfair people. If they had defined the place as a guest house they would certainly have been more correct and would not have deserved this review. If you want a b&b in Chianalea, choose any one except this one. They are all close and all beautiful and, from the experience of friends who were in different structures from ours but at the same time, more welcoming and serious.

Ho prenotato a"Le piccole grotte " e ci siamo trovati a" La Locandoera".. durante la prenotazione mi sono state proposte camere con balconcino sul sul mare invece mi sono trovata in un altra struttura con vista chiesa... proprietario inesistente e scorbutico.. scale non illuminate, per andare in camera al secondo piano si doveva accendere la torcia del telefono... colazione Zero quando al momento della prenotazione dicono il prezzo con colazione inclusa.. il primo giorno non abbiamo trovato nemmeno 2 cialde per il caffè la mattina, le ho dovute chiedere per il giorno dopo.. frigo vuoto, 2 boccettine di bagno schiuma piccolissime che non bastavano nemmeno per lavare le mani, distributore acqua a pagamento con acqua calda con 40 gradi fuori.. insomma pessima esperienza.. è la quarta volta che vado a Chianalea e ho trovato sempre strutture eccellenti... questa non la consiglio a Nessuno!

Siamo stati a fine Agosto : località incantevole e struttura che ci ha accolto come una famiglia. . Personale molto disponibile e competente e se chiedevamo qualcosa non si facevano attendere e poi … Avevamo una camera vista mare quindi che cosa pretendere di più …!!😍
