Hotel Restaurant Ketterer am Kurgarten

Triberg|1.94km from Hochseilgarten Triberg
We visited the garden restaurant after a walk to the waterfall for coffee and cake. The garden restaurant is situated at the bottom of some steps and was pleasant. The waitress was initially friendly and as it was a very hot day we ordered black forest gateau and iced cappuccinos each, as thought they would be nice and refreshing. When the iced coffees arrived they were quite small in the glass (only about half full) - see photo before we tasted anything- and when my wife had a sip she realised it wasn't cold but was luke warm. I asked the waitress if we could have an icecube to cool it down but was told no, she didn't have any ice cubes (bear in mind this is a hotel!). We think maybe she just didn't want to walk upstairs to get any. Obviously the coffees were pretty undrinkable (they seemed to have been made with a hot coffee shot and room temperature milk). My wife had about 1cm of hers and I had less of mine. When we came to bill the coffees had been included even though there was obviously something wrong with them (as I had pointed out to the waitress when I asked for the ice cube). We questioned about the coffees and explained that they weren't iced coffees but tepid coffees. However the waitress just repeated that if we ordered them we have to pay for them. My wife hates any fuss so I reluctantly paid even though we couldnt drink them. The waitress had three opportunities to put the situation right after they sold something they obviously were unable to provide 1) provide an ice cube to cool down the drinks when we asked 2) noted that we weren't drinking the coffees and offer us a replacement 3) remove them from the bill. 3 wasted opportunities to do the right thing. We had been in Germany for 6 weeks up until then and had really positive experiences, unfortunately this happened on our last day and it isn't the image we want to take away. The black forest gateau was OK but I'm sure there are much better establishments in Triberg. I would love to hear back from the manager of this establishment.

We have a lovely time enjoying. The apartment was very comfortable, has everything you could use. Ms. Hoffmann is very nice and professional. We will repeat for sure.

The apartment was cozy and well equipped. However, the sofa bed in the living room is hardly suitable as a bed. The upholstery contained different materials and the actual lying surface was hard and uncomfortable. The hostess was very friendly and helpful

In this well-kept and well-equipped apartment you can spend a very nice holiday for two. The sunny balcony has a beautiful view and can be used even in winter. Lots of hiking trails nearby.

Beautiful holiday, fantastic apartment, full of comfort and equipped for everything! From the balcony an amazing view! We can't wait to go back. Thanks to Mrs. Ingrid very kind and understanding with us who do not speak German.

Everything was OK until the cupboards in the hallway were largely covered with cleaning products and additional blankets. There was a stain on a mattress cover (from a previous lady).
