This was our third time staying at this hotel and we once again had a wonderful time. Many positive things have already been detailed in other reviews (great food, friendly staff, cleanliness, free mineral water, sufficient towels even in the spa area, birthday gifts, etc.). However, certain things creep in that seem inappropriate for a hotel of this upscale category. Our mattress was terribly hard, the pillows very flat, and the duvet too thin and cold for the time of year. Room cleaning is reduced to twice a week. Additional cleaning must be requested by filling out a form. However, I generally take it for granted that rooms are cleaned daily without the guest having to worry about it. My husband already mentioned the poor internet connection last year. If you arrive for breakfast at 9:30 a.m., you have to expect that only white rolls will be available, even though breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. They could have planned better in this regard. I generally don't like it when there are gaps at the buffet, or when it looks like it's been bombed out. Empty plates and baskets with a few sad crumbs don't exactly make me feel welcome. This morning, I had to personally intercept the waiter to order coffee. He preferred to clear tables. Having worked in service for 16 years myself, such things naturally offend me. There's a card in the room where you can write your opinion. The first time, I did so in detail, listing the pros and cons. Since, after three years, there's still only one trash can around the entire hotel complex, no one seems to read these cards. 😉 This fact is particularly interesting for dog owners. Sorry that I had to limit myself to negative things this time. We'd definitely come back. Unfortunately, I still have to deduct one point.
