Wonderful gem in Altmühltal. In the middle of the Forrest. The staff is very nice. Thank you for a great stay.

A very nice , quiet location next to a nature park. Great walking trails , nice outdoor spaces. The rooms were very clean, but on the small side. The staff was very nice and accommodating, however the food was too salty and often cold, or overcooked.

Although we have family in the area, we chose to stay here due to Covid concerns. We had previously been to the restaurant many times so we were familiar with the establishment. The new management seems to be doing a fine job. This hotel is in an ideal location for morning walks, views and is extremely quiet. Their breakfast buffet is outstanding. We have no complaints concerning our stay. We were here during the month of May and the weather was comfortable. Although the hotel does not have air conditioning, it has everything else you could want. In a busy city, the cost of a hotel is nearly double, is usually loud and filled with hectic and tight, if any, available parking.
We truly enjoyed our nearly 2 weeks spent at Gelander.

Ich war im großen Ganzen zufrieden. Sehr ruhige Lage. Restaurant gut. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer sauber. Kritik: Comfortzimmer mit Balkon gebucht und bezahlt. Das Zimmer ( 14) war im Erdgeschoss, die Terrasse war sehr schmudelig , wurde auch nicht gereinigt nachdem ich es reklamiert hatte. Komme trotzdem wieder.

Wir hatten für einen Kurzaufenthalt leider ein Dachgeschoss-Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten bekommen, das aufgrund der Schräge sehr beengt wirkte. Ein nur sehr kleines Fenster ließ sich zwar öffnen, hatte aber kein Insektengitter sodass jede Menge Mücken herein kamen. Das Essen und der Service waren jedoch gut und die Lage mitten im Wald sehr ruhig.

Wir haben unser jährliches Familientreffen erstmalig mit über 20 Personen an einem Wochenende im Juli im Wald Gasthof verbracht. Das Gelände ist ideal abseits der Straße gelegen, wunderschöner Biergarten, für die kleinsten gab es einen hervorragenden Spielplatz und ein Wildschweingehege sowie Schafe im Streichelzoo. die gastronomische Versorgung hat hervorragend geklappt, das Servicepersonal ausgesprochen geduldig freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch unsere Sonderwünsche wurden anstandslos erfüllt, es war kein Problem zwei kleinere Fässer selbst gebrautes Bier gegen ein „Korkgeld „ auszuschenken. Die Küche war ausgezeichnet, eine große variantenreiche Auswahl auch mit überdurchschnittlich vielen vegetarischen Gerichten. Wir wollten abends traditionell am Lagerfeuer sitzen, was natürlich bei der Trockenheit nicht möglich war. Dennoch war alles wie geplant vorbereitet gewesen. Wir waren so begeistert, dass wir für das nächste Jahr gleich wieder gebucht haben. Herzlichen Dank!
