Hotel Rugenschmiede is a small modern hotel set in the countryside. It has comfortable rooms, good food, friendly staff and a rural feel with ducks playing in the garden. It is perfectly situated just a couple of kilometres from the picturesque waterside village of Schaprode. From there, you can get to the lovely island of Hiddensee.

I took my parent on a short getaway, and this place turned out to be the perfect choice. It offers peace, quiet, and complete relaxation. I haven’t slept this well in a long time.

We arrived to find that our confirmed reservation was missing off their system. This has apparently happened previously to a number of others. The hotel was full and an earlier arriving couple had already been given the staff quarters. With no other local accommodation easily available we relocated back to Stralsund. Our initial impression of the premises despite never getting to sleep there was slightly underwhelming. One has to give praise to the gentleman working behind reception for his resilience in having to manage this situation caused by their booking system. If you have made a booking there my suggestion is that you somehow double check it exists on their system. Despite a confirmation of our booking we were not and our experience was not unique.

Die Betreiber geben sich echt Mühe, verfolgen ein volldigitales CheckIn/CheckOut-System, stehen aber auch mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Umgebung super schön und ruhig, perfekt für einen Sprung nach Hiddensee. Schaprode liegt nur 20min Fussmarsch entfernt. Reichhaltiges Frühstück gegen Aufpreis. Das Zimmer war mir persönlich etwas zu klein und hellhörig, Auch die Sauberkeit könnte besser sein. Die Fensterrahmen haben schon einige Zeit keinen Lappen mehr gesehen. Auf der Terrasse sitzen ist bedingt durch den engen Abstand zum Nachbarn für Privatsphäre liebende Personen eher suboptimal. Trotzdem würden wir jederzeit wieder einen Stopp einlegen.

Tipps toppi, etwas abseits gelegen, kein Durchgangsverkehr, Besser nett und entspannt. Nur dass mindestens 100 Zeichen in der Bewertung stehen müssen, finde ich doof 😉

Die Betreiber sind sehr nah bei uns Gästen. Tolle Insider-Tipps für die Umgebung. Tolles Ambiente im Hotel. Besonders das reichhaltige Frühstück mit sehr gutem Kaffee und Wunsch-Ei ist hervorzuheben. Modernes Konzept mit viel online- und self-Services. Preisvorteil dadurch werden an die Gäste weiter gegeben. Klasse, kommen gern wieder.
