This is a good little hotel outside Freiburg in the heart of the Schwarzwald. The restaurant is super for an evening meal and the breakfast was excellent. My only criticisms is that the rooms facing the road are a bit noisy and there was no tea and coffee making in the room. We would come again however as it is so very convenient and overall comfortable.

To avoid having to spend the night in expensive Switzerland, we decided on the 3-star Hotel Zum Ochsen in Schallstadt. The place itself is boring, but the hotel is very tidy. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. There are plenty of parking spaces right next to the hotel. The breakfast is very good. The hotel has a restaurant attached, which serves game dishes from local hunts, among other things. The menu offers some hearty, tasty dishes, the portions are generous and the prices are moderate. There is a large selection of regional wines by the glass. You can also eat on the pretty terrace. The service is extremely friendly.

Hotel nel verde a 5 minuti di auto dal centro di Friburgo, camera quadrupla ampia con letto a castello, letti comodi, bagno grande e confortevole, aggiungerei magari solo un piccolo frigorifero ma forse abbiamo avuto quest'esigenza viste le giornate molto calde. Ottima colazione con più offerta salata ma anche marmellate deliziose e torta, prodotti di qualità e ricco buffet. La cena servita nel patio è stata tipica tedesca con carne e verdure, prezzi un po' alti ma adeguati alla qualità del cibo.

fijn hotel om te landen na een reisdag met schone kamers, en een heerlijke tuin overkapping. Goed ontbijt met goede koffie en drankjes. Heerlijk om te eten, zowel a la carte als buffet. Het is niet ver van de snelweg, en de ligging is erg rustig. Er is geen airco aanwezig, maar het was niet super warm in de kamers. Wij hebben hier zowel op de heen als op de terugweg verbleven.

Hotel tipico e tranquillo vicino Friburgo. A differenza della camera piuttosto ampia, il bagno era un po' piccolino, ma tutto molto pulito e confortevole. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Colazione buona e varia, ma anche il ristorante non era male. Molto carino l'omaggio che hanno fatto il giorno di Pasqua.
