Hotel Sunnwies

I stayed in this hotel for a few days around Ferragosto. Despite the telephone agreements having been different, we found ourselves in a hotel room for 5 people (including three children), WITHOUT air conditioning! And when we asked for clarification, the Director was very rude and overbearing. The fact is that at night, despite the windows wide open, we never slept because of the excessive heat, the noise from the street and the insects (especially mosquitoes) that came in! I will never return to this hotel! And it is a 4 star! Crazy stuff!

We stayed two nights in this hotel in Scena, a few minutes drive from Merano. The staff is welcoming and kind. The Merano Suite is large and well furnished, with a view of the mountains. The bathroom is modern and spacious with a nice large shower. There is a bidet. Negative notes are the carpet in the room, but above all the impossibility of being able to adjust the thermostat because the heating system is centralized (at night the heat becomes unbearable, we even reached 24.5 degrees!). The cuisine is varied, refined and quality. Some requests for the one-year-old child were also promptly accepted. The dessert buffet offered in one evening was incredible, never seen before for choice and abundance. The relaxation area contains a nice indoor pool, but very busy and not very relaxing given the presence of some poorly behaved children (but this does not depend on the hotel), and an outdoor pool. The sauna area is minimal. Overall a good structure recommended. We would have given a rating of 5, but the heat at night was excessive, it didn't let us sleep well, and so we stopped at 4.

Spacious rooms, large bathroom with tub and shower, walk-in closet. Good cleaning. Kind owners who have always accommodated our requests. Well-kept common areas, beautiful spa area and two very large and clean pools. Very refined cuisine, not typical but very impressive dishes and good wine list. Definitely worth returning.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare presso l'Hotel Sunnwies per due notti e possiamo affermare di esserci trovati molto bene. La suite torre ci ha particolarmente colpiti per la sua eleganza e ampiezza, con un bagno ben strutturato dotato di vasca da bagno e doccia. L'unico piccolo appunto riguarda la temperatura, che nella stanza non era sempre ottimale. La suite scena, pur essendo più semplice, si è rivelata molto accogliente e ben organizzata, con una comoda doccia. La posizione dell'hotel, a pochi minuti da Merano, è ideale per chi desidera visitare la zona. La mezza pensione offre una cucina di qualità, anche se la varietà dei piatti nella prima sera non è stata particolarmente ampia; fortunatamente, la seconda serata ha riservato un menù italiano davvero eccellente. Un altro punto positivo è la pulizia e l'ordine degli spazi, che sono sempre stati impeccabili durante il nostro soggiorno. In generale, l'Hotel Sunnwies è stata una piacevole scoperta che consiglio vivamente. La piscina interna, pur essendo di dimensioni contenute, è molto carina e accogliente, e l'aspetto positivo è che è accessibile anche ai bambini. Purtroppo non ho avuto l'opportunità di utilizzare la piscina esterna, poiché le condizioni climatiche non erano ideali per fare il percorso a piedi fino a essa. La zona sauna, sebbene non molto grande, è stata comunque piacevole e ben curata, offrendo un'atmosfera rilassante. Nel complesso, anche questi spazi contribuiscono a rendere l'esperienza ancora più positiva.

Super hotel. Er is niets wat daar niet klopt. Van kamermeisje tot keuken. Fantastisch hotel. Het gehele team is heel goed op elkaar ingespeeld. We hebben al veel hotels bezocht maar deze komt met stip op de eerste plaats.

Na het hartelijk welkom werden we persoonlijk naar onze kamers gebracht. Ruime, schone kamers met goede bedden, een ruim balkon, een fijn bankje, goede verlichting en een koelkastje. De badkamer is eveneens ruim, zachte badjassen en een heerlijke stortdouche (in het nieuwe gedeelte). Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid en van alles is voldoende aanwezig. De vers gesneden ham is overheerlijk! Het 5 gangendiner is van zeer goede kwaliteit en wordt mooi gepresenteerd. Keuze in zowel vlees, vis als vegetarisch. Het tempo tijdens het diner is hoog en natafelen zit er niet in. Het binnen zwembad is vooral voor de kinderen fijn (en erg warm), het buitenzwembad is fantastisch. Niet heel warm maar het uitzicht tijdens het zwemmen is prachtig. De sauna is klein in verhouding tot het aantal kamers maar wordt goed heet. Vriendelijk en oplettend personeel. De sfeer in het hotel is erg prettig en gezellig. In de lobby is ruimte voor een drankje en/of een spelletje. De dame achter de receptie is zeer vriendelijk en geeft alle informatie die je wenst. Je loopt zo richting centrum met een leuke delicatessenwinkel en ook een supermarkt en Konditorei zijn heel dichtbij. Parkeren kan in de kelder. De (ski)bus stopt aan de overkant van de straat. Wij hebben een fantastische week gehad!
