As a family of four with children aged 10 and 14, we had a pleasant stay at Hohenwart. The food was great, and the breakfast buffet was extensive with a cook-to-order station. The hotel has two wellness areas, one for adults and one for children, and the view over Meran is stunning. However, we found the kids' pricing a bit confusing. Even though the children stayed in a separate room together, both kids were charged the price of a "single stay in a double room", which was €50 more than the adults. Although the 10-year-old received a 60% discount on this elevated price, we still don't understand why the 14-year-old had to pay a "single-stay in double room" price. Comment of the Hotel: "That is how we do things here, this is normal, and we do it like this since 30 years" Not sure but maybe 30 years ago the kids would have slept on the foldaway sofa instead of their own room.

The hotel is located in a stunning place, surrounded by vineyards and hills with excellent views over the valley and the city of Merano. The hotel was built in several stages, which is noticeable - there is no single style, and all the areas and rooms are different. There are modern parts, but they are still very aged. The hall and restaurant are decorated with gruesome dead animal corpses. The restaurant has good food and friendly staff. The worst thing about this hotel is the reception. At the booking stage, reception could not make a reservation without errors; they only sent a valid booking on the fifth attempt. On arrival - very cold greeting and minimal information. During the stay, all requests were lost at reception. We had to wait two days for a different pillow. But the worst that happened here was that the staff did not bring the cake I ordered and paid for in advance (as a surprise for my loved one) during the birthday dinner. I have never seen such oversight in a hotel before. No one even apologised... It was the worst experience of the year. This hotel and service are not worth your money...

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Herbstwanderwoche im November erlebt, sehr schönes Hotel, ruhige Lage mit einer Superaussicht ins Vinschgau. Das Essen war ein Erlebnis mit kompetenter Bedienung, der schöne Wellnessbereich rundete unsere Wanderungen jeden Tag ab.

Ankommen und sich wohlfühlen. Super schönes Hotel mit ausgezeichnetem Essen 5 Sterne Niveau! Wellnessbereich schön groß und für jeden etwas dabei! Verschiedene Saunen, Solebad, mehrere Ruheräume. Schlafzimmer hell und freundlich mit Blick ins Vinschgau oder nach Meran.

Ein wunderbares Hotel. Es gibt große, gut ausgestattete Zimmer, nicht übermäßig modern, aber funktionell und passend zum Stil des Hauses. Der Spa Bereich ist hervorragend, 2 Pools, Whirlpool, verschiedene Saunen und Ruhebereiche. Das Essen ist vorzüglich, man kann von Sterne Niveau sprechen. Es gab in 2 Wochen keine Wiederholung. Wir wurden ausgesprochen höflich, freundlich und zuvorkommend behandelt. Es herrschte eine fröhliche Atmosphäre. Das Hotel liegt in guter Nähe zum Ortszentrum, wo es schöne Geschäfte, einen Supermarkt, ein tolles Feinkostgeschäft, Bank und vieles mehr gibt. Das Hotel ist nicht billig, aber das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis is völlig in Ordnung. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Wir reisen nun schon einige Jahre nach Schenna und in das familiengeführte Hotel Hohenwart. Uns hat wie in den Vorjahren die Atmosphäre und der sehr verlässliche und gute Service plus die Qualität des Aufenthaltes begeistert. Es wird wohl nicht der letzte Urlaub im Hohenwart gewesen sein.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Einfach fantastisch! Die Atmosphäre ist unglaublich einladend und familiär – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Personal kommuniziert freundlich und aufmerksam, als wäre man ein langjähriger Stammgast. Das Essen war einfach hervorragend, mit frischen Zutaten und viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Auswahl an Weinen: Gut beraten, konnte ich einige neue und exzellente Weine entdecken. Ein Ort, den ich definitiv wieder besuchen werde – absolut empfehlenswert!

Unser 3. Aufenthalt im Hohenwart und dieses Mal über Weihnachten. Das war für uns eine Premiere: zum ersten Mal haben wir die Feiertage nicht zu Hause und mit der Familie verbracht. Und wir müssen sagen, es war ein rundherum gelungener Kurztrip (5 Tage) Dieses Mal hatten wir ein etwas größeres Zimmer im Haus Traube: Doppelzimmer Labers. Der gewohnt schöne Blick, den etwas größeren Wohnbereich haben wir besonders im Winter sehr geschätzt. Freundlichkeit, Essen, Wellness alles auf gewohnt hohem Niveau. Die Familie Mair und Christine Laimer mit allen Mitarbeitern haben eine gemütliche und trotzdem festliche Atmosphäre geschaffen, Weihnachten bei Freunden und einfach nur zum Wohlfühlen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und sicher auch einmal wieder über Weihnachten.
