The Cordelia

Stayed here with family as part of walking holiday. Probably the pick of about 8 places we stayed while on the holiday. Very nice rooms, reasonably well located (so long as lift is running down to the front) and lovely breakfast offering.

I can only echo the views expressed in all the previous 5 star reviews. The Cordelia is a lovely B&B well located in the South Cliff area of Scarborough just a short walk from the esplanade with its paneramic sea views and beautifull gardens. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable king sized bed and a nice en suite showeroom including good quality complementery toiletries. Breakfast was plentyful and delicious with a good selection of quality produce. Thanks to Rebecca, her mum and staff who were all very warm, friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely stay. My husband and I are regular visitors to Scarborough. We normally stay at the Bike &Boot (which we really like) but I thought we’d have a change and book a hotel that offered a cooked breakfast (which the Bike & Boot doesn’t). I liked the look of this hotel and the five star reviews persuaded me to give it a try. It’s a winner. Friendly host. Immaculate room. The breakfast was excellent as was the meat and cheese Supper Slate. We will go back.

Excellent B and B ! Rebecca s breakfasts are amazing, fresh tasty and very prompt. Room was immaculate, the bed really comfortable. Huge bathroom. Beautiful building well furnished. Located on the South side, in a very quiet area, close to amenities. Can’t praise this establishment enough.

My sister and I went to Scarborough for a trip down memory lane from childhood holidays there. We stayed at the Cordelia for 2 nights, what a find!!!! This boutique B&B is perfect. Rebecca is a fantastic host, warm and friendly. Our room had everything we could need, plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits. The beds were so, so comfortable and the sheets were top quality. Breakfast was such a special treat with and interesting variety of options and my gluten free needs were met. We didn’t have the evening cheese boards which were on offer (for a reasonable cost) as we had made plans to eat out each evening but what a clever idea! I will most certainly be back with my family. Our go to stay in Scarborough and yet again does not disappoint, room 4 which is spacious and comfy. All the added extras are thought off and high quality, lovely bedding and towels which is a bonus when away. The breakfast is all fresh and because you fill in a menu the day before it is ready when you are all cooked perfectly even the poached eggs are runny. I love looking at all the art work and accessories in the rooms and the building is beautifully kept. Would recommend.
