Great hosts, very welcoming. Very clean hotel tucked behind peasholm park. Parking to the rear, lovely room top notch breakfast, locally sourced, piping hot, great selection. Even went to the trouble of giving my girlfriend 2 plasters for her heels as she decided to wear new boots, walking up and down scarborough. We will return 100% 2 genuinely nice guys who go above and beyond. Even offered me a bottle and brush as he knew our visit was to go and clean my mothers grave, honestly a lovely hotel and people.

Stayed for a couple of nights whist exploring the North Yorkshire coast. Great hotel which promotes local products for breakfast and in the bar. The owners were great hosts who couldn't have helped us more. Located in a quiet area opposite the park. Highly recommended.

This was our 2nd visit, the first one was so good we decided to go back! We have had 2 different rooms, our first stay was in room 7 a small but adequate double, it was very clean and well equipped, having a lovely en suite and comfy bed. Our second stay was in room 4 a larger room with lovely oppulent gold and purple decor, and a small table and chairs which were very useful. Peter and Stuart are excellent hosts and Stuart prepares some wonderful breakfasts and delicious lemon drizzle cake! We aim to keep returning until we have tried all the rooms!

A real gem. Stuart & Peter go above and beyond for you and the breakfast is the best ever using top quality produce. Lovely quiet area by the park with parking. Lovely comfy bedding and towels, good toiletries. Home made cake and tea on arrival.

Just back from visiting Scarborough for a few days and this is where me and my partner stayed. I have to say that this is one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed at. On arrival Stuart and Peter were very welcoming, they even provided cups of tea and they're homemade lemon drizzle cake which was very nice. The rooms were spotless and this was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on. In the morning they provide a wonderful breakfast. We recommend the poached eggs and scrambled. You can tell the ingredients they use for the breakfast are top quality. We can't recommend this place enough and will most likely visit again next year! Neil and Dot

This hotel is excellent. Peter and Stuart are really welcoming and do everything they can to make you comfortable and feel at home during your stay. We can only endorse the very many really positive comments that have been made recently by guests at this hotel as we also enjoyed a lovely stay. From being met on the street as we arrived to a welcoming cup of tea with homemade cakes, to a fantastic breakfast cooked to order with ingredients that are locally sourced, along with chatting in the bar with other guests at the end of a good day what more can you ask for. The rooms are comfortable and newly decorated and the hotel is beautifully located next to Peasholm Park, with easy access the the North Bay, the open air arena and the cricket. It’s in a quiet location and we were able to enjoy a sound and undisturbed nights sleep. The hotel is a straight forward 20 minute walk into the town centre and a short and cheap taxi ride to the station. We are looking forward to returning on our next trip to Scarborough.

Stayed Mon to Fri (12-16 Aug) and what a fantastic stay we had. Parked up directly outside the magnificent looking building for our 3pm check in. There is a car park at the rear of the property & also other cars were parked on the grass verge across the road, although I don't know if this is acceptable or not? Upon arrival we were met by the fabulous hosts Stuart & Peter. Check in was painless, quick & we were offered cake & a hot drink before heading off to our room. The lemon drizzle cake that Stuart had baked was delicious. Such a nice homely touch. Our room (9) was on the top floor up the stairs but nothing drastic. Our room had obviously been refurbished & very pleasantly decorated throughout. All the rooms I believe have now been refurbished since the hosts took on this fantastic building. All rooms are en suite & ours was perfect. Bathrobes & and the fluffiest of towels were provided as well as a heated towel rail to warm them up. Tea & coffee making facilities are available in the room & there's a small fridge that can hold your milk in to remain cold & fresh. The room itself was bright & airy with good views onto the park across the road. Another nice touch by the hosts was that we had a pair of binoculars & a bird book so you could sit & watch the birds in the trees close by. Now for the breakfasts......... It's been highlighted in other reviews that the breakfasts are excellent. Well we can assure you that they are indeed. Every morning we were served by Peter in the most attentive manner & our breakfasts cooked to perfection by Stuart. The ingredients used are obviously top quality. Portions are excellent & other items are readily available within the delightful dining room. The whole property inside is decorated throughout with pictures from yesteryear & fit the setting perfectly. The premises is an excellent base to stay for heading off out on your daily adventures. Scarborough Town centre is approx 15 minutes walk where you can find most things. Again, the hosts provide relevant information & recommendations for all your needs during your stay. The Outlook also has a cosy bar area that serves good quality beverages at very reasonable prices in comparison to down town. A facility that we used every night but didn't hang one on to late as we needed Stuart up bright & early to cook our breakfasts. Overall & to conclude our review, we definitely made the correct choice to stay here. Wonderful premises, fantastic hosts, quality food, excellent bar service, great location. Thank you Stuart & Peter for making our trip so enjoyable and we wish you all the very best & success in your future at The Outlook. Cheers Neil & Karen x

Peter and Stuart are lovely hosts. The highlights were the garden and the welcome tea and cake. Set in a quiet road, which is on the edge of the park, the hotel has everything you need for a few days away. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and with a good range of options. Nothing was too much bother and items not on the breakfast table soon materialised on request i.e. honey and marmite. Room was small but well appointed and spotless. Well done and thanks.
