Rose-Dene

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite the weather. The breakfasts are excellent, the staff are welcoming and friendly. The bedrooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the shower was powerful and spacious. Situated close to North Bay facilities such as the Open Air Theatre and the cricket ground and within walking distance of Scarborough centre. Good choice of restaurants, cafes, bars etc.

Stayed for two nights and everything was perfect, nice room,great breakfast and wonderful host and staff. Would stay again without hesitation. Parking was not an issue as there was space in the Rose Dene carpark and also parking discs available , very close to the North beach and within walking distance of the south beach too.

On arrival we were greeted by the owner even though we arrived early which was a lovely start to our stay. We parked on the street and there was ample spaces, a permit it provided for the length of the stay. We were heading out for food before a concert at the Open Air Theatre and Gillian gave us some tips on where to go, The Hideout is a good little bar with food options and were playing songs by Olly Murs who we were seeing later. The room was exceptionally clean, modern and very comfy with everything supplied. An excellent breakfast provided too which is a great touch as it means you can then get ready for your day. The location was fabulous for us, approx 5 mins walk to the Open Air Theatre and North Bay and about 10 mins the other way to the town centre and South Bay. Gillian is a lovely host and takes time to have a chat with you, loved staying there and will be back next year. If you are travelling to Scarborough, I would definitely recommend staying at Rose Dene.

Good sized room with super large comfy bed. Small ensuite but shower powerful enough. Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast and perfect location for the cricket ground and North Bay attractions. Three free parking spaces. Lovely host.

Rose Dene was excellent! The room was of a very high standard for comfort and cleanliness. The breakfast was superb with a full range of options. Gillian and her staff were very polite. Rose Dene has a carpark at the front of the house which has a electric charging point for EVs. Although a bit of a stroll from the town it's in easy reach of Peasolm Park and the North bay beach. There are several eateries close by. I would strongly recommend Rose Dene. Book direct for best deal

Amazing 5 Day Stay. Nothing is too much trouble for Gillian at Rose-Dene. Always on hand for anything we needed and served up a delicious breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is a plateful of fresh produce from a local butcher which is such a nice touch. We will be back very very soon.

Great place lovely friendy host and staff great food and very close to park and places to eat will defo be rebooking again also very close to travel links bus stop was only a short walk yes rose dene is a little gem

We visited for a gig at the open air theatre and chose the b&b as it was close by and easy to get back. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I’m vegan and let them know in advance and Gillian cooked me a wonderful English breakfast, even had oat milk! I wasn’t expecting anything except toast and jam or fruit, so this was very accommodating of them to do. The bed was super comfy and big and the room had everything you could need. We will definitely stay again in future, a real home from home.

Great location. Walking distance to park, beach, outdoor theatre, cafes etc. Comfortable room, spacious and clean with everything you could need including kettle & tea/coffee/hot chocolate. We managed to get parked on the forecourt where there is space for 3 cars. Parking discs/permits are provided for road parking although we understand this may not be particularly close to the B&B. A very minor point - the breakfast menu is in the guidebook in the room(s) but it would have been helpful to have it at the breakfast tables too with maybe a blackboard to advise if anything had run out. This would save everyone from asking the same questions of the young waiter. All-in-all a great stay and a helpful host.
