A really great stay and a truly warm welcome. The room was a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect and a quick 10 minute walk to the town centre. Parking was easy also. I would say we will stay here again the next time we visit Scarborough.

Very clean and comfortable room. We stayed here for a week while holidaying in Scarborough. The room was serviced every day which was amazing, meaning that we came back to a clean, tidy room with fresh towels each day. The most comprehensive tea tray was left for us with a huge number of teabags, coffee sachets and milk plus biscuits and even a chocolate each on arrival. The Maynard is in a great location just a stroll away from the Esplanade. Breakfast at Rowntree Lodge was delicious. My favourite detail was the deco looking inner door in the entrance hallway - see photo. The only downside for us was the soundproofing, probably as it is an older building. At times it was quite noisy especially when other guests came back at night. Very good value for money.

Stayed Tuesday night for one night just me and my little girl. Such a lovely welcome by the owner. Room was spot on and had everything we needed. Nice hot shower and clean towels. Nice and quiet, no issues. On street parking and close to everything around us. Would definitely return.

Disgusting charges when this place is used for alcoholic and homeless drug ******* Police and ambulance always there three times in two days Awful place drunken fights window smashing I would urge all tourists to save your money and hassle paying to stay with these people is crazy No longer a holiday place

Claire and Shelly are both friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovley , spacious and very clean . The beds and pillows are comfortable and the facilities are good. We highly recommend The Maynard and hope to return next year sometime Thankyou Claire and Shelley 😀

My wife & I plus our 2 friends stayed overnight at The Maynard Hotel. .The hotel was very well situated for our visit to the Spa,the cliff lift being just a short distance away.We found the hotel & the owners to be very good indeed & the food we had was also very good.I can only endorse all the positive comments that others have left,and would have no hesitation in recommending, and indeed returning in the future........Thanks to Stuart & Angelia for a great stay

My husband and I was looking to stay in scarborough for the Armed forces weekend 2022, most hotels was fully booked until we came across the maynard hotel with one room left. And are we glad it happened like then at as we could not have wished for a more pleasant and inviting welcome from Claire and staff there. We cannot fault anything about it, and it's sister hotel just around the corner where we had a very very good breakfast was also a lovely hotel as well. The lady who was serving our breakfast ( and so sorry I didn't get her name ) is a treasure nothing was too much trouble for her and it was really busy as well. We are definitely going to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in scarborough.

Really nice B and B with a wonderful super king bed! Beds this size are few and far between. Spotlessly clean. We went to the nearby property... Rowntree Lodge.. for a fabulous breakfast. Made me smile at the number of folk that excluded black pudding. You could more or less have what you wanted. It's such a quirky place for breakfast.. loved it and well looked after. If you are into walking, this place will suit. However if not, there is the Fenicular/cliff lift literally a minute or 2 away to use. I am not really a B and B person and prefer hotels due to some not so good experiences but this place ticked all the boxes. Well done to all!

A lovely week's stay with my daughter .The place was clean and welcoming ,All the stuff were amazing with my daughter who has disabilities and special needs . Nothing was to much The tea and coffee in the room was topped up regularly and I have never seen such a well stocked tea tray in a room . Breakfast was across the road in the rowntree Lodge but this wasn't an issue it was a beautifull breakfast and again if the kitchen could do it you can have it Thank you all for a great stay and see you next year
