The hotel is refurbished to a high standard, clean and modern with fabulous sea views available. Great breakfast, really good value for money and friendly staff. Will definitely rebook. Apparently there is a car park, but we parked on the road outside. It's disc parking, available to buy at the hotel. £5 for 2 days which is not unreasonable.

Stayed here for 1 night, but wish i had booked for longer. We arrived early to a very warm welcome, our room was already rdy for us. It was very clean & spacious. Check out was just as easy, with a safe journey home from owner/staff. Will book here again in future & definitely recommend to others.

We have just spent 2 nights at the Clarence Hotel. We have been here before (many years ago) and the refurb which has recently been done is up to a high standard. The room had everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We are looking to return later in the year, it's just a shame that no family rooms have a sea view.

Been to Scarborough a few times but this was our first time staying here.We had a Beautiful sea view Room the decor was lovely and the room was spotless it was also handy that the hotel had a lovely bar area to sit in, the car park wasn’t available but we purchased a permit £5 for 2 days All the staff were friendly and helpful and it was nice that this hotel as recently been renovated/decorated so everything looked perfect and new. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again

This is a great hotel. Clean, modern surroundings, the very helpful and friendly staff gave us a great welcome to. For £80.00 you just can’t go wrong! We’ll definitely be back for the amazing sea view too! Just wish we had booked another night!

I would have loved to have given this a five but I just can't. The room was very well presented but there is no mirror with a socket near it and the room is very small with hardly room to get past the end of the bed, especially if you have mobility issues ( my wife is on crutches). The room was generally clean but there was a toothpaste lid on the floor behind the bathroom door. The bed was very comfy and the views were brilliant. The staff were very good with a very swift check in and found us a room that could be accessed by lift. I would visit again but request a bigger room.

Apr 2025: Booked a classic double room with sea view (Room 12) for one night. Very impressed, very clean and modern. Parked out on the front, which cost £5 for 2 days, you can get a permit from reception. Left the car there for the duration of the stay as it was a short walk to South Bay where my son wanted to go to the arcades. Local shop and pub 5 min away, although not sure what's pub is like as just went to the shop. Two friendly gentlemen greeted us for breakfast and recommended some local attractions to visit. Plenty of choice for breakfast. I had full English, my son had bacon sandwich. Cereals, yoghurt, toast, tea, coffee etc. Easy access to the North Bay beach but the paths are pretty steep so may not be suitable for all. Wouldn't hesitate to book again, enjoyed the short stay! It was the first day of opening after refurbishing we were very impressed. Very tasteful modern and comfortable. We had breakfast the first morning lots of choices as well as full English breakfast there was healthy choices yoghurt and fruit cereals toast and pastries. Staff are very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay again

I can’t recommend this hotel enough I went with family and honestly didn’t have high hopes due to bad hotel experiences but wow the hotel smelled lovely new carpets everywhere spotless Staff were all lovely couldn’t fault them rooms where lovely and view gorgeous was a lovely stay
