The room is spacious with a large sofa bed, perfect for a family with children. The bedding is clean and tidy, and the toiletries are complete. The shampoo and conditioner that makes hair fluffy and soft are exclusively provided by the spa downstairs. They sell French shampoo and conditioner for 15 riyals a bottle downstairs, which is one of the more expensive ones. The front desk reception was friendly, and there was welcome fruit after check-in. The breakfast was rich and delicious, and there was also a free kids' club.

Amazing hotel! New.
The staff is very attentive and responsive. I would especially like to highlight the girls at the reception. It is felt that it is very important to the hotel that the guest is comfortable.
The views from the hotel are simply magnificent, so I recommend taking rooms with a view of the canyon.
I would also like to note the upgrade that we received upon arrival, we took a standard room with a view of the canyon, but they gave us a Suite, a large room with its own pool!!! To say that this delighted us is to say nothing. Because the room is amazing.
I have not been to Anantara, which is next door, but I am absolutely sure that it is no worse here, and probably better. But the price in this hotel is now almost 2 times cheaper!
I confidently recommend this hotel.
Thanks again for the incredible upgrade and a great experience staying at the hotel!
A small remark - this is a little noise of construction next to the hotel. But all the other advantages more than offset this.

The view was really nice, and I was satisfied with the hotel service. Breakfast and dinner were okay. It's a hotel worth visiting at least once.

The hotel is modern, in eco style, designer interiors, large rooms. Cleanliness is impeccable, everything is new. I didn't like: weak water pressure in the shower (apparently there is a shortage of water in the mountains), the food in the restaurant is not the tastiest. You can only get to the top of the hotel by a four-wheel drive vehicle with a low gear (they check at the post below). The hotel provides a transfer (37 riyals one way). Private cabbies below charge less. The hotel itself is wonderful, everything is up to standard.

A hotel overlooking the mountains. Opened in August 2024. The rooms and all the facilities are fresh!
For those who don't mind the high room rate, I recommend you to stay in the Canyon View room. You won't regret it!
It's still quite cold on the mountain, up to about 15 degrees, and you can see many people wearing thin down jackets.
Not far from the hotel is the Anatara Resort Hotel, which has a Diana's Point, where Princess Diana of the United Kingdom and Prince Charles (now the King) have been. You can walk or drive there. It's free. We went to see the sunset.
Note that you need to drive a 4x4 or AWD vehicle to go up the mountain. There is a police checkpoint at the intersection at the bottom of the mountain. Vehicles that do not meet the requirements must stop at the checkpoint and be sent up the mountain by qualified vehicles. You need to pay, but I don't know how much it is.
If you have the conditions, it is recommended to rent an all-wheel drive car in Oman to avoid trouble. In addition to going up the mountain, sometimes the map navigation leads to the wild road, and you can also drive an all-wheel drive car at this time.
