We stayed at Six Senses Fort Barwara for 2 nights with our two kids and had a largely memorable experience. The Fort Suite was spacious, beautifully done, and came with thoughtful amenities. We appreciated the no-plastic approach, well-curated mini bar, and welcome treats — especially the handcrafted chocolates for kids. Check-in was smooth, but we noticed that some foreign guests received a more elaborate flower shower welcome, which we missed — a bit disappointing. The swimming pool is gorgeous — great for relaxing and photos. The poolside bar has a nice vibe, though food options could be more diverse. The spa was a highlight — the couple’s treatment room was spacious with high ceilings, and the therapists were excellent. For the kids, the ‘Earth Room’ was a fantastic concept — they enjoyed hands-on activities like pottery, candle making, handmade paper, lip balm, and more. A great way to keep children engaged while adults unwind. Dining was decent, and while the kitchen is flexible beyond the printed menu, the restaurant staff seemed undertrained. Special dietary requests (like eggless bakery items) were ignored, and a Margherita pizza came loaded with veggies — explained oddly as their version. That said, housekeeping, room service, and sleep quality were flawless. Overall, a beautiful, thoughtfully designed resort offering a unique blend of heritage and sustainability. With sharper attention to service details, it can truly be world-class.
