Kempinski Hotel Adriatic Istria Croatia

We had a delightful stay at this Kempinski hotel. It was very quiet due to being Winter, however we needed downtime and rest after being 4 weeks into our 6-week trip from Australia. Great stay overall. The most disappointing part was the dinner in the restaurant but a great experience.

We stayed at the kempinski Adriatic in November. Not the high season but still a nice time to visit. Hotel is very luxurious but some maintenance work needed. For example one letter is missing of the Kempinski signage outside. Staff was very friendly and did a really good job. The room was really spacious and equipped with all modern comfort. The tv in the bathroom mirror was not working unfortunately. We had a room with sea view on the first floor unfortunately they did not turn off the music at the bar in the evening although the windows are not sound proof. Spa was very nice. Breakfast was also of very good quality and was very varied. Just some small enhancements needed to get a top rating

Great place to stay. Loved the views, staff, room, location. When we were booking our holiday this year, we knew Kempinski is our choice number 1 and it never disappointed us. Whether we stayed in Kempinski in Slovakia, Germany, Budapest, Switzerland, Vienna, London the service is always outstanding and immaculate. The food in the restaurant was so delicious. Breakfast was very tasty with huge selection on the buffet, what was not on the buffet I could simply ask and was immediately brought to me, for example I like to eat an avocado with my breakfast and I got it right away. Little things make a huge difference, one of the waitress was so attentive, she brought some pencils and paper to draw for my little daughter. We very much appreciated it. In fact everyone from staff was very attentive and kind. We loved the cocktails at the bar and also by the pool and beach. I asked for Long Island Iced tea which was not on the menu by the beach, but the lady, sorry I forgot her name, she made it for me and it was just perfect. Special thank you to Alen from restaurant, he was so friendly and kind, made us feel welcomed. He asked if he can send us a milk for my daughter to the room what we highly appreciated, as our daughter loves to drink milk mornings and evenings before bed. Yulia who served us dinner was also very kind and easily approachable. Our housekeeping lady who cleaned room Thai, she cleaned our room spotlessly and I loved the fragrance of the cleaning product as soon as we entered the room. The sea was full of jelly fish, but we could swim next to them, they were harmless. We highly recommend Kempinski Istria for early summer holiday. We stayed at the beginning of June.

The staff is very friendly. Nice rooms. Heated outdoor pool. The prices in hotel are way too high. Regular beer 9.5 euros + 25% + 3% and another 3.7 euros service charge. A cup of frozen ice cream 12 euros + taxes. They charge 15 euros for parking and, in addition 30 euros, for charging the car, regardless of the charging time. Smoking is allowed on the beautiful terrace where you have breakfast ??? The hotel is nice, but due to the enormous prices and the charging of every little thing, I would rather choose another 5-star hotel. In our arrangement, we had free service and they charged us without compromise. The breakfast offer is worse than in comparable hotels. The room needs renovation.

The hotel is beautiful and well located. Everything is very luxurious. Breakfast is excellent. Overall the hotel and facilities are great, However I feel the reception and concierge could be better in welcoming. We also asked the concierge for local shops, they were not really helpful. Our receptionist was great when we checked in but during the stay we had questions he was not able to address or support. Also being a platinum member did not really give any additional benefit of late check out. Lack of vegan options in the breakfast and dinning.

Liked Room, breakfast. Disliked · The beach was far away ( 10 min walk ) from the hotel. A golf cart can take you there and back, but you have to wait 10-20 minutes.. The food at the beach is bland and slow. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided but you have to service them yourself e.g open the umbrella etc. No attendant at the beach, There was sewage flowing into the beach, making it impossible to enjoy the beach. There were a lot of mosquitos in the room and the restaurant, which bit us all over. No window or the door screens in the rooms, so all flying bugs are invited in if you use your balcony. When I complained, the receptionist told me it is natural to have mosquitos. We ordered room service the first night we arrived. 2 beef broth vegetable soups and 1 green salad with no protein. The food came in over 1 hour, after getting 3 calls to verify our order, the salad had protein, and the soups were appetizer size. We paid around $ 50, then got sick at midnight. Next day we had to drive to nearest town to get immodium. I had to change my plans to leave 1 day early.
