The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom too, that is not always a given in Europe. Beds are very comfortable, pillos too, temperature in the room was perfect, luckily no need for A/C. The view was beautiful and breakfast delicious and there was multiple choices. Hotel location is perfect. The staff is absolutely amazing and nice.

It was impossible to sleep in the room during a hot summer season. And we ”enjoyed” the ongoing giggle and music from the restaurant terrace for late… Otherwise a cozy place and very ”home like” hostel. Restaurant is ok and there is a small beach in the front.

This restaurant offered the best vendace I have had in Savonlinna. The terrace offered a nice athmosphere. Also the service was friendly. I hade a smoked vendace salad and my partner enjoyed a burger which also tasted excellent. A warm recommendation:)

The hotel has a charming, coherent style which was present thorough the public areas as well as the rooms. The bed was very comfortable, and there were two chairs available. The location is excellent in the vicinity of the Olavinlinna with a nice walk along the waterfront. There was also a nice restaurant with beer garden, we dined there and had a lovely meal. We parked in the street for free, but in the high season it is probably a good idea to reserve parking at the hotel for a fee. The bathroom was very small where one almost crushed ones legs against the wall. The breakfast was so-and-so with no bacon and slow refill of the breadbasket.

We went for the famous night buffet after opera performance. The good itself was okay, a basic offering of salmon and herring, but the price, 52 euros was really too much compared with the offering. No cheeses, no dessert, salads were nothing special… Wouldn’t recommend.

We visited hereon our way to Kolovesi national park. The staff were very friendly and the place looks very good outside. Inside the rooms are a bit outdated. The breakfast was amazing and served in a amazing hall. The price for a night was a bit high compared the rooms quality. Sauna was small, fits three people. For us it included to the price but I saw that it was 20e/h for others.

Soggiorno perfetto. Perché tutti i desiderata sono stati rispettati a cominciare dalla posizione sul lago Salmaa, il più grande della F., dal desiderio di fare un bagno immergendomi nelle acque fresche non fredde della Scandinavia, dall'acqua limpida percorsa dai guizzi dei pesciolini, dal parco prospicente l'albergo con barchette e sdraio, dal lungolago che conduce diritto alla fortezza di Kristiinankatu, maniero storico del '600, alla stanza che seppure molto piccola era piacevole. A piano terra, due passi e subito in giardino, altri due metri nel patio e poco più in là l' immensità del lago Salmaa. Elegante la sala per la colazione con soffitti alti specchi arredi d'epoca salottini e un buffet completo di dolce e salato. Cena all'aperto gradevole, pesce di lago ovviamente, birra e granatina. Alle 22:00 luce.Un tramonto perfetto.

Si tratta di un hotel di inizio '900. Gli interni sono curati e si respira il fascino dei tempi andati, soprattutto nella sontuosa sala dove viene servita la colazione. Ovviamente la storicità dell'albergo comporta la mancanza delle comodità moderne: non c'è l'ascensore, e il bagno in camera è proprio piccolo. L'esterno invece è più anonimo, ma la posizione è molto comoda se si vuole visitare il castello. Sul retro c e' una terrazza che dà direttamente sulla spiaggia del lago. Possibilità di parcheggio gratuito in strada. Colazione varia e abbondante.
