The Hotel was very comfortable and clean . It is right beside the Train Station and close to bars and restaurants. Saverne was all closed up because of the Easter Holiday. We had booked a spa day in another hotel . The Receptionist could not have done more to help us arrange transport to get there … even offering to collect us after her shift had finished We ended our planned stay one day early as the weather was so bad and everything was closed . The hotel owner very kindly did not charge us for the night that we cancelled . The bed was big and comfortable . The room was very spacious and nicely decorated

Stayed here 4 nights to do ancestry work nearby. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. Janet, the manager, was welcoming and efficient. A parking garage behind the hotel was €10/day. Street parking was free from 7 pm - 9 am. Breakfast was delicious with lovely breads, meats, cheeses, eggs for boiling, juice and coffee served by a friendly lady. We had two dinners at the hotel next door, and two dinners around the corner, although there were any restaurants a short stroll away. Our room was on the 2nd floor but the elevator only went to the 3rd floor, necessitating our going up and down the stairs multiple times. Had we known, we would have taken a room on the 3rd floor. There was also a very charming two room old cottage available behind the hotel, which we were offered. A Thursday morning street market was fun to visit, and there is a monthly brocante (flea market) nearby. A good central location for Bas-Rhin.

Si vous avez toujours rêvé de remonter le temps, cet hôtel est fait pour vous ! De la moquette défraîchie aux meubles d’un autre siècle, tout ici semble figé dans les années 70 (et pas dans le bon sens du terme). Les équipements sont d’époque, la déco aussi, et quand on rentre le soir a l'hôtel on pourrais se croire dans hôtel Transylvanie ( le film ). Le petit déjeuner est à revoir le café et cappuccino ne sont pas bon du tout je pense de la Senseo ou cafetière filtre , pain a 7h10 pas super frais. Dommage pour iek chambre vendu 155€. Bref toutes les personnes avec une vision jeune et moderne passez votre tour.

Deze keer geen upgrade maar wel een veel betere kamer. Niet zo gedateerd, prima bed en aan de achterkant. Ontbijt nog steeds prima en personeel nog steeds heel vriendelijk. Weer fijn een biertje gedronken op het grote plein en lekker gegeten bij Caveau de L’Escald. Absoluut een aanrader!
