"Hotel location was very convenient, staff was friendly, accommodations were clean. One disappointment was excessive addition of fees and taxes on my credit card. I booked through a third party booking sight for convenience and cost. I did anticipate the additional fee of using the hotels parking garage, however I was verry displeased with all of the other additional charges added. I knew parking was $50 a day, I did not used any other amenities through the hotel, i.e.: breakfast, television, room service, however I was charged an additional $277 for an accommodation fee, occupancy fee, destination fee, ect... I did address this numerous times with the front desk, and was assured only necessary charges would be added, the rest would drop off. Overall, the accommodations were pleasant. However, we will not be returning due to excessive additional fees"
"The price is relatively low. Breakfast is super simple buffet. A baby cot can be added, and other beds cannot be added. The room and living room are very small. Although there is a sofa bed in the living room, there is almost no space for the living room after opening. There is a parking lot but there is an additional charge. The location of the hotel is also far from the river, about 20-30 minutes. Based on the above situation, I feel that the hotel's price/performance ratio is not high! I don't understand why there are so many praises..."
"The hotel is located on the edge of the historic district, so it is a quick 10-15 minute walk to either River Street or even Forsyth Park. Even the standard suites are larger than most other similar properties. The beds were comfortable and the linens and towels were above average. All employees from the front desk to the breakfast servers and cleaning staff were very pleasant and friendly. Rated lower in the facility category as the outside landscaping by the sidewalks was **** filled and over grown. This really detracted from the exterior appearance. The fitness was large and has a good amount of cardio equipment but only had one, torn workout bench, no area/mats for core work and the hand weights were missing all 20lb and 25lb pairs. There should be other strength training options. The breakfast food options were presented in an attractive manner with good over all quality. "
"We enjoyed the lovely historic property right in Savannah's historic district. The guesthouse was charming & offered a private courtyard, as well as on-site parking. The food at the 17Hundred90 Inn & Restaurant was fabulous too. A wonderful stay experience!"
"Staff were exceptional--everyone from front desk staff to the bartender and breakfast staff. All very nice and accommodating. Rooms were very clean and had what we needed. They don't have a gym on site but have a relationship with a local gym for hotel guests (if that matters to you). We were able to walk into the downtown area and felt safe doing so (about .5 miles from our hotel) but they also offer a shuttle with a very lovely driver who took great care of us! I would recommend this hotel if staying in Savannah. "
"GREAT STAFF! We were not aware of Savannah'a HUGE St Patrick's Day celebration and arrived to a city overflowing...but everyone was very helpful and made it possible for us to extend our stay. Our room was spacious and well appointed but the AC unit was very noisy and so close to the bed that we froze when it ran. The bed was comfy. The bathroom fixtures were ”loose” - needed some simple repairs and the elevator floor has some damaged tiles, but we would recommend this hotel."
"Beautiful well decorated place. Lovely to have water and coffee available. Very nice to have wine and cheese platters HOWEVER, we arrived at 6:35, checked in 6:38 and we were unable to get the wine or cheese. It was literally being packed away as we were checking in. It was so disappointing that they could not salvage a couple of glasses for us. Nice to be able to walk to the river and purchase our drinks."
"Great location with stunning Savannah River views. Spacious room provided comfortable accommodation. However, the elevators were noticeably unclean, and there was no drinking water fountain available. The beverage vending machine was out of order or empty throughout my stay. Despite these inconveniences, the prime position and generous room size balanced the experience."
"The hotel is really nice, though a bit hard to find. Beautiful interior decorating, including our room: the Clark Gable. The best thing about the hotel is the location: easy walking distance to The Vault, Foxy Foxy, other eateries. Not far from the park. The main drawback for the Clark Gable room was the problem of air conditioning. The room has a room air conditioner which exhausts through a window. At night it is loud though the hotel owners thoughtfully provided ear plugs. But the problem is that even if you turn the AC down to 72%, it could not cool the room on a not very warm September night. Both my wife and I woke up early sweating because the room was too hot and muggy. Other guests say the temperature was great in the main building, so if we return we will get a room there. "

The hotel by the Savannah River should be the best local hotel among the regular hotels. The only dissatisfaction is that the management is a bit messy. We have been deducting our credit card at random, and the fee has never been clarified. Through the unremitting communication of the Ctrip housekeeper, it is finally confirmed that the overcharge has been charged. I have not received a refund yet. I hope everything goes well.
GGuest UserI was given the room key for an occupied room, the room I received was not cleaned thoroughly . My 4 year old found half full water bottle by the bed, there was no hand soap we made due with the body wash in the shower and the toilet ran all night. The room I originally received a room key for about 2 hours later another person was given the same occupied room. The poor people in room 310, I am sure they were more than annoyed. The breakfast was ok. The front staff were very nice. I have deft had better stays, but it was not a disaster.
GGuest UserWe booked the trip on Trip.com, prepaying. Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District charged us twice. We live in Florida. As soon as I realized this. I sent receipts and screenshots. I’ve been getting the run around from management for the past 4 days..Still no refund. Still no response from the different managers we’ve been told to call back to speak to..Keep calling back to see if he/ she is in.(Paul Komanecky or Lindsey Davis) We are very disappointed with the lack of customer service from management. We just want our money. The hotel was indeed paid twice…Is this normal?

Very Good
GGuest UserI made reservations then called the hotel to Badger sure they had them.”Lady A” answered the phone, she was just as polite on the phone as she was in person, she checked us in upon our arrival.
We had a leak in the bathroom that was wetting the carpet, informed David at the front desk he immediately phoned Zach in house services and within minutes he was at our door. Zach observed what was happening and immediately moved us to another room, and provided us with complimentary parking which was a huge plus.
The hotel is close to the square and the riverfront which we enjoyed the proximity of everything. Only used our car to go to Walmart and The Outlets. Will definitely visit again, Customer service was A1.
AAriel AlexandraChecking in at the beginning was a bit of a mess and there was no parking nearby, but the rooms were really spacious and seemed well kept. I guess that’s the trade off for a good price.
The location was great. It it wasn’t so hot we could’ve walked most places we wanted to go. As it is, we still mostly walked places.
The parking was all metered and we had to get up at 8 AM everyday, because it would only let you fill it for a certain amount of time. Not the best when you wanna sleep in.
I book this room specifically for the location and to have access to a washing machine, so I was pretty happy with it. It was nice that one person could hang out in the living room and one in the bedroom to give each other a bit of space.
GGuest UserI feel like there is zero value here. I paid a ridiculous amount of money and got a dirty coffee machine( the water holding compartment was full of some flakey stuff), a dirty sink, no toiletries, and a banged up and super loud a/c. The staff however were super nice! However, I will never stay here again as I paid $900 for two nights stay, and the rooms are just standard rooms. I could have stayed anywhere for that kind of money. One of the fees was a “destination” fee for $25. Yay! I arrived. Charge me money?
GGuest UserGreat hotel. You can use the valet parking ($50) or a public parking just across the street ($5).
The hotel is beautiful, cleaning, offers a good breakfast.
GGuest UserWhen I went there was St Patrick's Day holiday, the annual tourist season, the hotel was about 300 yuan more expensive than usual. The hotel is not equipped with breakfast and slippers, and you can find food nearby. It costs $67 (about 490 RMB) to take a taxi from the airport here.
