Definitely worth what we paid, great location at the bottom of the slope 2 min walk, boot and ski room attached. Bar very reasonably priced and can put a tab on the room. Would stay again. Pros - Friendly staff happy to help (including food allergies) Cosy, clean room Spacious bathroom and balcony Nice bar area with reasonably priced drinks Food was reasonable - better than a lot and worth what we paid any day (cold buffet starter, pasta or soup, small meat fish or vegetable main and small dessert) Breakfast good choice of continental including bacon sausage egg Amazing view!! Cons - There is a smell however nowhere near as the reviews make out, smells like poor drains (vent window fixed this for us) No free water or drinks included with dinner Some things weren’t working in the bathroom eg hairdryer Towels weren’t replaced when room cleaned however we didn’t ask

Hotel- 4 Food- 1 or 2 Staff- 3 Cleanliness- 4 The location of the hotel is fantastic. Unfortunately the snow wasn’t great this year but if it was, would have been 100m walk to the bottom of the slope. We needed to walk to the Sportinia which was a bit further but much closer than most hotels in Sauze. The boot room and ski storage were ideal. Very busy and sometimes full but you could leave your boots on the floor in the room. The rooms were great. Definitely enough room for us with a large balcony and a large bathroom. Rooms were reasonably clean but fine for a 3 star hotel. The rooms were warm with an alpine decoration. We stayed on floor 1 and had no smell like other reviews. However, overhead people complaining about the smell higher up. The staff were generally accommodating but could have been a little more welcoming. The one disappointment with the hotel is that the food was very poor. A buffet with vegetables, coleslaws, salads, etc. Then a choice of soup or pasta for starters (e.g. pasta with meat sauce, egg plant lasagne, bean soup). Always something strange for main (e.g. lemon chicken, vegetable wrap, meat stew) and a small pudding (e.g tiramisu, creme brûlée, ice cream). Towards the end of the holiday, the food was disappointing and we decided to eat out most evenings. Breakfast was fine with bacon, egg, sausages, toast, yoghurt, cereals, etc. One thing to note is that you have to buy your drinks in the evening, they do not give you water from the machine and you are not allowed to drink from it. This was the cheapest hotel we could find in Sauze so it was great for the price. Not sure if I would stay here again.

The smell on the fourth floor was overwhelming. The staff tried to put bleach down the plug holes etc but it was a temporary solution. It made some in our group feel very unwell and nauseous. We had serious health concerns. Rooms very small. We were on the 4th floor (note the very small lift does not reach the 4th. floor). You are unable to have any kind of bedside cabinet if you have a split-beds twin room. They also claim to have a 3 adults room on the fourth floor- this is not the case - they have three inaccessible single beds. You have to climb over each other to get to bed. There are no tables in this room! Location excellent. Easy walk to slope or bus stop. Food good. Nice buffet every evening. Decent breakfast. Dining room staff kind and attentive. Bar man fun and entertaining. Reception staff surely and rude - nobody seemed in charge. Boot room cramped with no seating. Boot warmers worked effectively. This is a hotel that has a serious problem with the smell of drains. We had hoped this would have been addressed during the renovations of Summer 2023 but unfortunately the smell remains. I would not recommend this hotel until you are guaranteed that the smell has been addressed and that you are not on the 4th. floor.

I always take the negative reviews on here with a pinch of salt and I’m glad I did with this hotel. From our experience it was nothing but positive. We stayed here as a family of 4 with an 8 and 11 year old children. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing and catered very well for my gluten allergy. Great location and only a short walk to the ski lift. I contacted the hotel via email prior to our arrival to request we had rooms adjacent to each other and to enquire about my dietary needs to which they responded positively and promptly. Would definitely visit again thank you.

Unfortunately you can’t leave a ZERO star rating! So annoyed and should have taken more notice of the other reviews regarding this dreadful establishment. Room is absolutely tiny with hardly any space. Have to climb across the bed to get to the other side of the room once coats are hung up on the hooks at the end of the bed. I cannot express how the room smells of sewage enough! The room has a huge industrial air freshener and liquid ‘stick’ air fresheners in it, so we should have realised it wasn’t going to be great. It stinks! It stinks! It stinks! Makes one feel quite nauseas permanently. Our friend’s room toilet flushed and then overflowed with excrement! It is quite obviously a major problem which both the hotel and ski company (Crystal) just keep brushing under the carpet! No pun intended. Disgusting. To be honest and take our advice and avoid at all costs. No storage or hanging space in rooms No ‘free table water’ at dinner and the waiter got very aggressive when I said I’ll just drink the one I had with me. Not a pleasant management team either. Just stay somewhere else and take heed of the low star ratings they are fully justified.

This is a nice hotel - warm, comfortable and well-run. The room I stayed in was not large, but suited me as a single occupant very well. It was comfortable, regularly cleaned and with a good bathroom having an excellent shower. The nearest piste is a couple of minutes' walk away, and many of the town's bars and restaurants are also a short walk down the hill. The food was very good - an excellent breakfast selection and decent variety in evening meals. There's a nice bar area, too. All in all, I think this is a good hotel for skiers to stay in.

The 4th floor room was small with little storage, so we lived out of suitcases. We thought the room was pretty clean, until we tried to store the ski bag under the bed and it was filthy under there and the top shelf of the open cupboard storage with the 2 blankets on was also very dusty. The only socket in the room was on the corner so we had chargers etc on the floor. The room was so small the bedside cabinets were turned sideways, so the shelves were unusable. The shower was great and always hot. The electric boot dryers did their job every night in the boot room. The evening food was odd. A good varied choice from the cold buffet bar, with a warm option such as kebab meat or chicken wings or crispy balls. A choice of 3 starters and mains, but you often got exactly what it said, so a fillet of fish, was a fillet of fish on the plate, a meat chop was a chop on the plate. Of course you could add some cold veg from the cold buffet, but no warm veg or potatoes etc. The 'Gala' Christmas dinner was a choice of cheese soup, maccaroni and mussels or tortellini and the main choices were baked rabbit roll, tilapia fillet or crispy egg with bean sauce. The gala element must have been the mash with the rabbit roll. No dessert choices on Christmas day, but on other days there was vanilla pudding or ice cream or similar. The staff were always pleasant enough and helpful and the afternoon tea was always ok with canapes and cake. Some inaccuracies on the Crystal website are: the website states freshly cooked omelettes at breakfast, not available. The website states buffet dessert, this is incorrect. Desserts were chosen with the starter and main the day before. The website states the rooms are warm and inviting with cherry red quilts. The room was small, the clothing storage is an open unit with 3 shelves and a hanging rail and the quilt was white.

Excellent quality hotel, right next to the slopes and a lovely vibe - great food (filling and delicious), comfortable rooms that were cleaned every day. A very good experience and would recommend. I went with a friend and we found the proximity to the main chair a big bonus, the food plentiful and lots of choice (big salad bars, a choice of three main courses) and very helpful and friendly staff
