Very nice stay in a family rom with little balcony. Nice breakfast with authentic food and very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our weekend with walks and electric bike rental in Sauze d’Oulx. We had three dinners in the hotel restaurant - both ala carte and pizzas are good - and very convenient 2 min from hotel when tired of all that walking. Thank you!

My self and my husband came to Sauze D’Oulx for a week of skiing and fell love with this bed and breakfast! It’s not only ski to door but the actual lift is right outside of your room! From the second we walked in Fabio was so welcoming and showed us the room and explained all we needed to know as far as where to go for a drink on the town! He made himself always available! All of the staff are the accommodating people you will ever meet! They were so kind and went out of their way to be available, they even helped my husband dig out our car! The rooms are spacious, adorably decorated, comfortable and super clean (they came in and cleaned and organized so nice every day) I 1000% recommend anyone looking for the perfect place during their ski week to come stay here!

Family run and genuinely nice people who were always willing to help. It worked out very reasonably and the owner Fabio couldn't have been nicer and is most certainly not a money grabber. I'm nearly 60 and this is the first time that I've given 5 stars for every aspect of my stay.

We brought 32 students for a skiing week in Sauze and were so fortunate to stay at this hotel. Fabio and his staff made us all feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. All the facilities were great and the food at the restaurant was excellent, catering for all the students

I loved the old world charm of this hotel! Their staff was very friendly, and they wanted to help their guests fit in right away! I was a huge fan of their breakfast buffet and the staff that attended to our needs!

A quaint little hotel which we discovered by chance when researching a ski trip to Italy back in 2020. We booked and then Covid hit - the owners called us as the situation was turning sour over there and he advised us to cancel our holiday. They paid us back our deposit with no questions asked - it goes without saying that when we started planning our first post-pandemic ski trip, Sauze and Etoile des Neiges in particular were top of the list. Because they had been so kind and fair-play back then! We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and appreciated its old charm. The location is ideal as it is literally a 30-second walk from the bottom of the chairlift up to Sportinia. Our rooms (#8 and #9) were spacious, clean with good bedding. Breakfast buffet was rich and tasty, but we did not try the evening dinner. They also have an agreement with a ski hire shop nearby which means you can leave your rental equipment at the end of your stay at the hotel and the shop will pick it ip after you have gone - a nice touch! And finally, it felt like good value for money (130 euros per room per night). There were however a few negatives: - it is an old traditional stone building which means very small windows and limited natural light in the rooms as a result; - its location, although good for take-off in the morning, is not ideal at all for après-ski as it is a 25min, very steep, downhill walk back from the main bars and the village centre. You can grab a taxi but it will cost you 20 euros per ride. Same thing if you want to walk to the centre for dinner, better be in shape to hit that hill! - the hotel is very isolated on the outskirts of the main town, and there is absolutely nothing near it restaurant- or bar-wise, except for their sister restaurant / pizzeria 50m down the road which serves reasonable food but nothing to write home about (although, to be fair, it was equal or better than most of the food we ate in Sauze, which was generally a very big disappointment). - The biggest issue for us was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms - you can literally hear your next-door neighbour doing business on the toilets (and i guarantee you will know if they went for nbr 1 or nbr 2… and if they use the bidet - we are in Italy after all - then you will hear that too!) Also, should you be unfortunate enough to have noisy guests stay in the room next to you, you will not be able to sleep. And forget a lie-in once the maids are at it hoovering and chatting away in the corridor at 8am… A real shame that this was not thought about when the building was converted into a hotel - charm should not come at the cost of comfort in my opinion… Would i go back? Most probably no, because i think we could find equivalent quality and charm without the downsides i listed, for the same price or close. But push come to shove or without any alternative, i would be happy to return, although only for a short stay. This is why I gave it a 3 rather than a 4 - i would have given it a

We loved this charming hotel, with the friendly staff and lovely breakfast that had vegetables and eggs from the garden. We'd love to come back to explore the area more, both for XC-cycling and skiing. The hotel has a restaurant with fantastic italian food. Highly recomended!

It was so nice to be back in the Etoile des Neiges after missing out last year. We returned home today after our 7th stay. Dani, Fabio and all the team (including their family) welcomed us and looked after us so well, they are friendly and very professional - nothing is a problem. The rooms are spacious, there’s plenty of hot water, the breakfast sets you up for the day and their evening meals are delicious and irresistible. The ski lift is less than 5 minutes walk and the ski back to Jouvenceaux is the best (via the Grand Pista). Thanks to the team for another fabulous holiday - we rebooked for next year before we left this morning!
