We recently stayed in a double room with other family staying in a 2 bedroom apartment. The hotel is lovely with beautiful views. The staff were polite and accommodating. Our room was a good size, beautifully decorated with great amenities, a card and chocolates were left for my husbands 60th birthday which was a nice touch. We seemed to have been given an accessible room despite not needing one, which meant the basin in the bathroom was very low, although the shower was over the bath, a feature I’m personally not keen on preferring a shower cubicle. The Dyson hairdryer and tea and coffee were appreciated. The spa and relaxation areas were great with fantastic views. The apartment was perfect too. Breakfast had plenty of choice although the service was a little slower than we would have liked. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing experience at saint brides spa and hotel. We had the lazy day spa package as a wedding gift. Staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Big that you to Eleesha and Beth for the treatment, so relaxing. Food was 10/10 Highly recommend!

Stayed here for 1 night in August 2025. We had a lovely time from start to finish and highly recommend the hotel! The rooms are beautifully designed and have useful amenities and special touches. The Dyson hairdryer was a bonus that you don’t normally find in hotel rooms! The general areas of the hotel are also lovely, so many places to sit and relax with gorgeous views. Parking can be an issue, this is something to bear in mind. It would be helpful for the hotel to warn of this and provide alternative solutions if the car park is full. The food in the restaurant was delicious - try and ask for (or wait for) a seat by the window so you can enjoy the view. Portions were slightly small, but tasty. The highlight of the stay was probably the spa. It is gorgeous with more facilities than your average spa. We were even given a tour to show us around and how everything works - this is so helpful when you haven’t been before. It was very clean and organised - fresh towels at every turn and multiple options for showering. They had ghd straighteners and hairdryers available, too. Highly recommend for a luxurious stay in a stunning location!

Have been staying at this hotel a few times a year for many years. I was really looking forward to seeing the new improved hotel and spa. Unfortunately it was a disappointment, the restaurant and bar area have had a lick of paint and some new seating which is nice . The spa was one of the biggest disappointments as the pool area has been looking shabby for a few years and was looking forward to updated tiles but nope still cracked in places and stuck together with really bad grouting. The rest of the spa looks ok but didn’t really need doing. The outdoor area wasn’t finished so still a building site and not sure if addition of a small jacuzzi located in front of people eating in restaurant was a good idea 🤷🏼♀️. Bedrooms have been freshened up with addition of a bath in the middle of the bedroom (not for me) especially as the bath in main bathroom had not been replaced and had dents in it. IMO would have been better updating bathroom rather than putting a posh bath in middle of a room. The price they are charging they need to up their game as bedding needs to be replaced you can now tell Celtic Manor group running it unfortunately as no attention to detail. Threadbare duvet and pillowcases that did not fit pillows also the bathrobes were awful and looked about 20 years old. Breakfast was good with good service and receptionists were great. Bar staff were not good one chap could not be bothered. We were also told that we could not have coffee when we returned to the bar at 10.30pm which is ridiculous when you are residents he told us one drink and then was closed.

Good points. The view and outside seating area is beautiful , comfortable and relaxing. Bad points. When we booked afternoon tea I asked if we could swap the prawns for ham ( or something easy, not too difficult) as my mother had an allergy. They said it was a set menu and that they could not accommodate. Very disappointing as this was then wasted. Not only this, it was probably one of the worst afternoon teas we’ve had, also probably the most expensive. This was such a pitty as the setting is incredible.

When we arrived for our prebooked lunch we were asked if we had any allergies and I told the member of staff "Brocolli". We were shown to our table and there were just 3 other tables in use. We waited 15 minutes before being able to order a drink. Our starter arrived 30 minutes after our order, which was a surprise because there were a minimal of 4 dishes of choice for each course. When it came to the main course, one choice was off but my husband was offered something off another menu which he ordered. When the main courses eventually arrived I was told "the broccoli is coming" which was a shock as it was neither ordered nor desired. Then when I started to eat my rubbery chicken with a vegetable tart I saw that the main constituent of the tart was brocolli. We didn't bother to stay for desert and when we asked why, after informing staff of my allergy we were presented with so much of the vegetable. The waiter simply referred us to the manager whose only thought was to discount our bill. We explained the danger of providing food with known allegies to the customer and he had no interest and clearly didn't understand the issue. He simply offered a free meal, which was not what we were trying to gain. He could not explain why customers were asked about allergies and then no notice taken and he just wasn't interested. We would certainly not return as it is too dangerous and the wait between courses far too long, and when it came the food was barely average.

Very disappointed with our afternoon tea. Quality and quantity has gone down since taken over by new owners. Dietary requirements were not taken note of, even though I had requested on reservation. Poor selection of sandwiches. Scones were hard/stale. Numerous times we were asked did we want our tea, which I replied not until we had finished our champagne/cold drinks. Lack of communication and understanding between staff. Really disappointed with our visit. Will not be recommending to friends or family. It used to be a guaranteed place to go for lunch/afternoon tea, but I won't be in a hurry to return.

St. Brides Hotel… well what a wonderful stay we had, from the moment we arrived everything and everyone was just great. This place is an absolute gem and very us. Beautiful location and so so relaxing. We stayed 4 nights half board, sea facing balcony room. Enjoyed all the spa facilities and the Cliff restaurant was excellent, cannot think of any negatives. We’ve already booked a return visit for September 😊
