Very disappointed with the room. The washed floor was still wet because the planks were lifting and water was trapped underneath and it never dried out overnight. So the room smelt musky and I had to use lots of lavender room spray. There was no cover on the extraction fan in the bathroom and the water was leaking into the cistern and made the electric pump empty the system spasmodically throughout the night. The bathroom wall tiles were old and stained and the paint on the wall was peeling and the plaster was coming off next to the bath. It was a ground floor room with only one door coming off the car park- noisy cars coming and going. Most of the hotels have a small entrance- porch on the room- two doors. I actually stayed in this hotel last year in a different block in an upstairs room and that was fine. I should have booked it with *********** as they would have charged me only £65. Since I am a member and was going to save 10% I booked directly online. 91€ was an extortionate price to pay for such poor quality accommodation. I made a complaint to Campanile and they said they were sorry and hoped we would stay with them again. How can you tell if your room is going to be fine -like it has on every other occasion during the last 30+ years? I won’t be booking with them again.

All the staff were exceptionally helpful The room was clean and as expected the restaurant was fully booked but they found room for us and we had a fabulous meal at a time that suited us The weather was very hot but all the rooms had been supplied with electric fans to help with that

Usual hotel. Room had been recently decorated and bathroom much improved. Food in restaurant good and the place was popular too. 3 course set menu with specials (salmon ravioli) all tasty. Odd that they do Saumur sparkling by the glass but not on the menu as a bottle!

Petits déjeuners très moyen, pas d'oranges pas de yaourts nature, pas de confitures, pas de grandes tasses etc... Pas d'écoulement au lavabo, parquet abîmé, serviettes de toilette vieillissante, extérieurs pas entretenus. Une restauration du Campanile s'impose surtout pour une ville comme Saumur

Côté positif .accueil agréable. Bonne literie . Côté négatif Ne respect pas les souhaits des clients.Nous avons appelé pour avoir une chambre au calme " y en a " ils nous ont attribué une chambre juste derrière les cuisines et donc bruyante .alors qu ils nous avaient bien pris en compte nos désirs. Chambre vieillotte .Pas de clim donc en cas de chaleur ,les chambres sous les toits sont étouffante.
