Mikligarður Guesthouse is owned by Arctic Hotels. You actually have to walk to another hotel to pick up your key and check in. The guest house has a great eating area and kitchen. It would be fun for a large group traveling together.

The accommodation was creepy - our first thought (from the outside!) was "This is Bates Motel from Psycho". Unfortunately, this impression was confirmed inside. This was definitely the noisiest and noisiest accommodation we have ever stayed in - there was noise from the heating or other plumbing throughout the night (we couldn't place it), not to mention noise from other guests' rooms. In our room, the two beds were separated by a wall. For breakfast we went to the associated hotel nearby (which, by the way, is also where you check in). The breakfast made up for us a bit, it was very tasty and you sit in a cozy cellar. However, I never want to go there again.
