Mountain Resort Koh Lipe

beautiful hotel with its own sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. great location. incredible nature. very clean sea! the area is very beautiful. i recommend staying here for the best. great choice of food for breakfast. hotels with a much more expensive price category have a worse range of food. the room was cleaned every day. but the bathroom is a bit dirty and not everything works properly.

+ : View is amazing; best beach on the island; nice beach bar (try the bowls there); beautiful pool (unfortunately no cover - just wood); location up the hill; free shuttle to walking street every day from 6pm-10pm; shuttle to peer until 12pm. - : many tourists around; staff is annoyed; rooms are very old (big and naked); cleaning service comes not regularly (no problem for me, but if you really need new towels after a few days, no one came 🙂)

Koh Tarutao National park is a GEM! 💎 We spent an incredible 9 days in a Grand Garden room and it was great. Location location location! Very nice staff everywhere and the shuttle to walking street was effective. You can book all of your transportation with them through email and even book a private boat to come pick you up for a day (DO IT!). Con’s: 1 Groundwater supply. It is brown and ruined multiple clothing items of white color. 2 Breakfast: while there was a large selection, only a select few items were healthy options. Symbolic cafe at the beach has way better options, but it’s expensive and not included. The orange juice is fake with sugar and so are the other drinks available. Again the staff were great but please consider removing the gesture from the man at 10am who tells each table that breakfast is ending. There are signs and the timing is listed in the booking details, it felt insincere and you could tell he wasn’t comfortable doing it either. 3 the cleaner was ineffective, leaving the ground water stains to build up in the sink and the toilet. Changed sheets every 3 days even though they were brown from the water. She was kind and sincere.

Everything was great until a cockroach appeared in our room (no: 059) on 31/3 around 11.50pm. We were all disturbed by it and couldn’t go back to sleep. We even flipped over the beds to look for it but it was hiding. To make things worst, we found another cockroach which was dead behind the bedside cabinet. I went to the reception to request changing rooms, no one was there. I tried calling the emergency number many times, however, no one picked up. The reason your staff gave me in the morning was that they were all asleep when I was dialling the numbers and it was raining, which is completely unacceptable. Why is the emergency number provided for guests when there’s no help available? We felt so helpless in the middle of the night and stayed awake the whole night. I trust that Mountain Resort values guest satisfaction and will take the necessary steps to address this issue appropriately. Sent an email on 2/4 but there’s no reply until now.
