The landlady can speak fluent English. The hot spring facilities are better than other hotels. There is no convenience store nearby. It is more convenient to buy the necessary items first and then enter. Although the location is remote, it is more peaceful and the environment is beautiful Recommended for self-driving guests

This place is incredible, ran by a small operation up in the mountains of Kagoshima. The onsen is something out of this world. Rich with iron and minerals from the mountain, it looks like something akin to a studio Ghibli movie from the outside. The staff are kind and very helpful and breakfast is a real treat for those who like a traditional Japanese breakfast. 10/10 would highly recommend and stay again. Also to note as a foreigner with tattoos the staff don’t seem to mind so much and my entrance to the baths was permissible. That may be helpful to know.

There are gas, microwave, rice cooker, and refrigerator, so I can stay in the room, soak in the hot springs many times, and stay overnight. The hot spring is null and smooth... It is not very hot and does not cool hot water. There is a bathroom in the inn, but there is a hot spring that can be used away. I also want to stay with a non-life taste.
