I stayed there during the long weekend for 15th Aug and must say the experience was really good. Though I was there to celebrate my wife's birthday and they made it special. The property is old approx more than 55 yrs as told to me and well maintained. The room is good but the minibar wasn't working for my entire stay well I already raised that concern on the very first day I checked in. I am also a hotelier and must say that the USP for the property is the staff working there. They are humble and well mannered. Loved the uniforms. Amar at the reception was fantastic and really helpful in getting my safari booking. Wonderful stay !! Def gonna recommend to my friends. Food was also really good specially ala carte but the menu is very compressed. Less options I believe. Thanks for your hospitality!!

Stayed at Gir Serai - IHCL SeleQtions from 6th to 8th June with my wife. The property is tucked away right next to the Hiran River, surrounded by jungle — you can feel nature all around. We had a river-view room, which was spacious, clean, and peaceful. We did three safaris — and what a treat! Spotted 12 lionesses, a majestic lion, and several sub-adults and cubs. The safari guides knew the forest well and made the experience special. The food deserves a special mention. Every meal was excellent. The Kathiyawadi thali stood out — spicy, bold, and satisfying. Apu and Jahid from the restaurant were warm, attentive, and lovely to chat with. We also caught the tribal dance performance — great energy, and the fire show added flair. Felt like a proper celebration of local culture. The vibe was perfect: unhurried, close to nature, and very comfortable. Highly recommended if you’re looking to really disconnect and soak in the wild.

The stay was amazing and super comfortable. The staff was very courteous and supportive. Property is located at very scenic and apt place which can mesmerize any customers staying at property. The best part is the property just behind or next to Gir National Safari Office (Sinh Bhavan) and if you have booked safari then you can call the safari vehicle directly to hotel for pickup. Super property and worth visiting.

We have had a wonderful Experience of staying Experience @ Gir Serai where we have been taken to the Next level Experience by Mr Apu who has worked tirelessly for serving us the Multi-cuisine Food at all the time of our stay ***** with the Super live Music and his Singing was Amazing to touch the Heart what a voice Mr Apu has made our stay a super Memorable. And thanks to Mr Suresh Verma (Manager Taj Gir) He has also very humble and helped us understand about the Gir Area, the Jungle and about the hotel 🏨 it was really wonderful to take his Advise to spend 3 days in Gir. Breakfast, Lunch High Tea And A Memorable Live Singing Dinner of Mr Apu was super Amazing memory of Gir & Gir Serai.Thank you to Taj Gir Serai Team.

Incredible and fabulous place which retains its old charm Staff including security ( no exception) is outstanding and most attentive Rooms are very good Cleanliness is given top priority Food is outstanding It is like living in one’s own old bungalow with exceptional hospitality by staff and great food Quiet place for a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle Led by the Hotel Manager, Mr. Suresh who is most guest friendly and very supportive, the staff follow their guest friendly leader in providing good hospitality. Special mention must be made of Mr. Rajiv Chandran the Ex Manager ( now heading another Taj Property) who is phenomenally supportive, exceedingly guest friendly and available,24/7 for guests. Mr. Rajiv Chandran reminded me of some phenomenal and most guest friendly GM’s like Mr. Jaikant, Mr. Srinivas, Mr. Ritesh , Mr. Sumanji , Mr. Manu and their team. The food by the chef and team was most delicious and out of the world. The pleasure and joy with which they prepare and serve is so so touching. The food is soaked in their love and hence is most delicious. A big Thankyou to Team Gir and to an amazing and exceptional executive in Mumbai who made this possible Thankyou all

IHCL - Gir Serai we arrived with simple expectations. They were not met. Everything was average. Breakfast was average. Ethnic items were not upto the mark. Meals what we ordered (Because Buffet was quite average), was also quite average. Only good part were people who served. I would expect a 4* Hotel (thats what Gir Serai felt like) next to a park gate, to talk about activities / experiences. There was nothing. There was no mention of a river right next door. Rooms were ok but bathroom had a smell of clogged water and Jetspray force was more like one needed for a fire extinguisher. It was not a bad stay but it didnt inspire much and considering Gir has so many good hotels now, I wouldn't come back here. IHCL definitely needs to focus more on Gir Serai experience. Cannot assume that because of liquor shop within its premises (a big plus in dry state like Gujarat), it would make it a default option for travelers.
