Die Lage des Hotels, mit der Aussicht und Panorama sind im Winter einfach wundervoll. Kurze Wege zu allen Aktivitäten. Im Hotel ist es gemütlich und lègere, nicht zu gross und gibt eine gewisse Persönlichkeit. Die Freundlichkeit des Servicepersonals in den Restaurants ist fantastisch. Danke dafür. Die Qualität der Speisen ebenfalls toll. Dass man an der Rezeption ungefragt mit englisch bedient wird, hat uns doch etwas erstaunt. Das Spa ist toll und vielseitig, das Schwimmbad dann doch etwas zu klein für die Anzahl Gästen in den Stosszeiten nach dem Skifahren. Aber eine absolute Empfehlung und jederzeit gerne wieder.

I have the pleasure of reviewing the Youth hostel in Engelberg, which I had the opportunity to visit during a school trip. Unfortunately, I have to note that the rooms were filled with an unpleasant fragrance, the wifi was out of service and I found it deeply disgusting that the duvets and pillows were not washed but were covered only by pillowcases of dubious hygiene. In pushing the duvet cover aside, I spotted a strangely colored stain that seemed to be an affirmation of lack of attention to cleaning, so I decided to sleep without it. Unfortunately, the smell forced us to keep the windows open during the night, making the experience even less comfortable. The quality of the food did not meet expectations, especially the meat consumed by me and my roommates caused us intestinal discomfort. The only positive aspect of the Youth hostel in Engelberg is represented by the view of the landscape that can be admired from the windows. In conclusion, I do not recommend this accommodation to anyone, as there are certainly far better alternatives.

The hotel is a twenty-minute drive from the city center, but driving is still convenient. There is free parking. The hotel is on the shore of Lake Lucerne, and the backyard is on the lakeside, with beautiful scenery. The hotel is surrounded by residential areas and there are no shopping places. The hotel restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, which tastes pretty good. The room size is average and the bathroom is clean and tidy.

The Burgenstock Hotel is located 450 meters above Lake Lucerne and is surrounded by the Swiss Alps. You have got a 360 degree view from the whole hotel. The hotel is right in the middle of the historic Burgenstock Resort a 60 hectares large private ground on the Burgenberg. Nevertheless it takes only 1 minute to the own funicular which brings you to the ship station of Kehrsiten. From there it only takes 25 minutes to the city of Lucerne. Lucerne can find the ceiling of the hotel. The best swimming pool and outdoor hot spring among the three hotels in Burgenstock on the mountain road next to the town are superb. There is also a free train ride. The concierge will help park the car, and the service staff is also very enthusiastic. The restaurants and bars in the resort are of a high standard. The hotel rooms are also similar to the pictures, the fly in the ointment is that our room has been adjusted to a room with a worse view.

Looking for a relaxing break in the Swiss Alos, close to the slopes, I found this little gem: a hotel, pretty rustique in the traditional Swiss way! Not far from the heart of Engelberg but far enough to contemplate the sky, see the stars and hear only the heartbeat of nature. Clean, very very clean, with comfortable rooms, not big, just comfy, most with a balcony overviewing the village. Staff, super nice and polite, ready to help and advise: had a 10% discount in my ski rental and anytime I wanted to go skiing they got in the minivan and took me to the resort! The restaurant was also nice, with delicious dishes and a savvy wine list. Not to miss! Only point I would like to note, the breakfast buffet: every day the same, not always fresh fruits available. Would like some variety and some chocolate croissants, please! Overall, a must go!

Amazing hotel near Luzerne train station. Many bakery nearby. Hotel staff was friendly and kind, provided toiletries and water. Breakfast was simple but good enough to start the day. Very short walk to the old town area which was great!

We stayed one night in the Hotel Luzernhof Annex. Stupidly we put my jewellery in a location in the room that we felt would be a good hiding place - it was so good we forgot about it when we departed early the next morning. Much to my dismay I didn't realise until we were in the UK awaiting our flight home. An email later, my little jewellery bag was in the safe hands of the hotel staff who went and retrieved it from our room. The lovely staff then posted it to another family member in Germany. I am so grateful for their kindness and attentiveness to our stressful (self inflicted) situation. Their honesty and quickness of action brought much comfort to me as the items held great sentimental & irreplaceable value. Thank you to all involved. The room in the annex was clean, comfortable, spacious, ideally situated and a great price. There were plenty of food options nearby. Although it had a shared bathroom, it was super clean and provided all that we needed. My sincere thanks to the Hotel Luzernhof.

First, the location is beautiful. The hotel is clean and tidy, and the staff very friendly. It's a wonderful place to stay. We used this location as a base to explore the region. It's very quiet and there's not much traffic on the roads at any time (except around Zurich in rush hour). You do need a car here as there's nothing to do in the area. They'll charge you 20 Francs a night for parking. As we stayed for 7 nights they charged a max free of 100 Francs. Not too bad I suppose. The downside is the bedroom. The lighting is dreadful. There's also no air con. They did supply a fan to blow the air around which did help a bit. There's a sensor in the bathroom that detects movement and comes on. The decorative shelving had more light than the rest of the bathroom. Perhaps 3 candles would have been better. The shower has plenty of power and hot water but as it's placed over the bath it hardly keeps the water in. It's a job to stop soaking the floor. The lighting in the main room is dreadful too. We didn't have a lake view which was our choice but we didn't expect to be in full view of other residents either. There was a blind that you could use to add screening and shelter from the sun, but it seemed to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it wouldn't go down, other times it would but then go up again without warning.

GGuest UserBeautiful rooms overlooking the lake, small but pleasant SPA, fantastic restaurant with a gorgeous terrasse and a choice between excellent thai and european food, good service and last but not least, they have bycicles for their guests to enjoy free of charge which is a great bonus for us. They also run the ”Wylerbädli”, a small beach restaurant on the shores of lake Sarnen, which is a short walk from the hotel. The lady that runs the place is extremely friendly and the food she prepares is very fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed spending time ”at the beach” surrounded by such a beautiful landscape and overall lovely athmosphere! Thank you very much for everything, we will be back!

NNavigator22552499997Auf der Durchreise haben wir ohne Reservation zu dritt einen schönen Tisch am Fenster bekommen. Wir haben je zwei Vorspeisen bestellt. Die Kürbiscremesuppe und die Süsskartoffelsuppe mit Riesencrevetten kamen sehr heiss auf den Tisch und waren geschmacklich hervorragend. Die gedämpften Spinatknödel mit Bergkäse wie auch der Rettichsalat mit Feigen waren eine wunderbare Geschmackssymphonie, kaum zu übertreffen. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und obwohl sie viele Tische allein betreute, sehr freundlich und schnell. Das nächste Mal kommen wir mit grösserem Hunger! Die stilvolle Einrichtung hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen.
