Nice accommodations, friendly host, great location, good wifi, and parking. Pretty much everything that one would need when staying for a visit in the area. The hotel is a very easy walk to the historic part of town where restaurants and shops are abundant. We weren't able to stay for breakfast, but it looked excellent!

Absolutely incredible service from this friendly family run hotel a short walk from the very centre of Sarlat. I needed a meeting room at short notice and great WiFi. They were friendly and helpful and the WiFi was much better than the larger hotels I tried. Great value too.

The positive points: A 5-minute walk from the medieval center, We had a room on the parking lot side, quiet, The bedding was comfortable. The negative points: The reception is shared with another hotel, so there is little presence on site, not even when guests arrive. The paid parking is in an area behind the hotel, up high, accessible by a moss-covered ramp, an ice rink when it rained. The staircase leading to the rooms is very narrow, difficult to manage with luggage, especially between the 1st and 2nd floors where the steps are also crooked. The manager (or perhaps owner) did not appreciate me pointing this out to him at all. "I know my establishment, Madam" was his only response. Our bathroom/toilet was tiny, using the toilet required sitting sideways (and yet I am not tall)... We do not recommend.

We ended up at Madrigal following a bad experience in a gîte rental. Late arrival, hotel manager very helpful and pleasant. Impeccably clean hotel. Comfortable bedding, what more can I say other than a big thank you for your kindness.

One night spent in this very well located hotel a few meters from the medieval city. Paid parking but possibility of parking on the street for free. The only downside is that the stairs are steep and narrow. Cleanliness, very warm welcome from the manager, generous breakfast. Thank you for this stay 🙂

We had a great time at Madrigal. Arriving early, the owner greeted us with a smile and arranged for our room to be available immediately. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated although to be honest we mainly took advantage of the city center which is just a stone's throw from the hotel! The breakfast is quite adequate and we enjoyed some savory items for me and some pastries for my partner. The espresso machine makes great coffee and I think I overdid it a little... Thank you for this stay!

I can't rate it as excellent because the breakfast was poor, the whole thing a little outdated, the room was small, there was no welcome tray and given the price of the night, the parking could be free.
