Beautiful location. Comfortable bed. Lovely spacious room. Fabulous heated swimming pool. Best of all were the owners of the hotel who were extremely welcoming and were happy to talk to us in English which was so helpful as our French is rubbish! The area is fantastic

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Le Mas De Castel. Our room was bright and very clean. In fact, the entire property was clean and well maintained. The bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower and separate toilet area. There was a nice assortment of breads, pastries, cereal, meats and cheeses for breakfast along with coffee, tea and juice. Karine and Roby were gracious and attentive hosts.

Wonderful, peaceful guest property with two wings, one with comfortable, modern rooms on one side of the main building and another closer to the pool with larger rooms with sliding glass doors overlooking a large meadow. Depending on your budget, either is spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. We stayed for four nights. The owners speak perfect English and we enjoyed watching the self-propelled robot mower cutting the grass while we sipped the wine they recommended to us from Bergerac. Their pool is heated, the atmosphere is serene, and their dining area is large, modern and looked out onto the pool and meadow. We had a slight problem with our booked room and they immediately gave us another rather than have us wait for repair to the TV cable. Le Mas De Castel is just a few minutes drive up into the hills above Sarlat, which is quite a charming town and an easy drive to most of the cave sites at Les Eyzies and Lascaux IV.

We really enjoyed being in the country but so close to Sarlat. The rooms were on the smaller size but the wonderful terrace overlooking the huge garden, apple trees and strategically placed deck chairs, made up for that. We liked the seperate toilet and big shower and really enjoyed the refreshing pool after the heat of the day. Breakfast ( indoors or out) was typically French with a huge basket of very fresh baked items for every guest. The owners were always around, so drinks were available all day. Because of the heat, we would have liked a fan in the room; but what we really missed was a small fridge (under the basin in the bathroom?) for milk and water. A very relaxing and restorative stay. Thank you.

Lovely immaculately clean comfortable air conditioned room. Hosts very helpful and friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and good with a range of items. Swimming pool excellent and a real bonus. Lovely grounds and good Location close to Sarlat.

Très bel endroit. Parfaitement entretenu. Au calme, au milieu des bruits des oiseaux et des animaux. Piscine chauffée et parfaite. Chambre familiale confortable. Très propre. Petit déjeuner très copieux, excellent. Personnel aux petits soins et d'une extrême gentillesse. A tester pour se ressourcer.

Habitués à séjourner très régulièrement dans des hôtels en France pour de très courts séjours ou pour plusieurs jours, il est très rare que nous retournions une seconde fois dans le même établissement. A chaque séjour, nous changeons de région afin de découvrir notre belle France. Le Mas Castel est une exception pour nous car cela fait trois années de suite que nous y allons. Le Périgord c'est super mais le top du top, c'est vraiment le Mas Castel avec Karine et Roby qui sont des personnes adorables comme nous n'en rencontrons que très rarement en hôtellerie. Des personnes qui aiment leur métier et le font avec beaucoup d'amour. Concernant l'établissement les commentaires des autres clients confirment la magnifique prestation offerte par les propriétaires. Merci pour ce moment de plaisir.

Nous sommes partis avec nos enfants de 4 ans et 2 mois. Excellent rapport qualité-prix. Endroit calme, propre, chambres chaleureuses avec une tres jolie terrasse. Personnel tres calme et serviable. Nous reviendrons sans probleme et avec plaisir !
