Ibis Sarlat

The most environmentally conscious hotel I've ever stayed in. No drinking water goes down the loo, the air-con switches off if you open the window, there's a complimentary (glass) bottle of water in the room, which is refilled every day so there's no need for you to buy it in plastic bottles, and the staff are happy to fill your refillable water bottle with chilled water from the bar. (The bar also stocks some very acceptable, local organic beer!) Clean, spacious and comfortable double room for single occupation. Plenty of hot and cold choice at the breakfast buffet, and a good range of restaurants nearby.

We last stayed here three years ago. The location is very good, a 10 minute walk to the old town. There is good, free parking. Rooms are big. And clean. Excellent WiFi. But no fridge and no safe. I was unable to get the AC to cool the room. I think, since the hike in energy prices, the availability of AC has changed. The bathroom was very clean. Last time I gave it a 5, but the AC merits a point reduction. Having said that, next time in Sarlat, we will definitely stay here again.

A pleasant stay, good location, easy walking distance to town Centre, free parking, swift check in, ample space in rooms, clean and fresh. Very helpful staff, thank you Sarah for always assisting us if we had a question, needed information or just wanted to grab a coffee, would definately stay again if in Sarlat

For our stay in Sarlat-La-Canéda we had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights for 4 people, including breakfast. The staff was friendly, breakfast reasonable, as a tour bus had arrived and there was a shortage of staff for breakfast. We had also booked breakfast through Booking for € 10.50 and we were charged € 12.50, so € 16 too much for 4 people. At the reception Mrs. Bettina told us that the boss was not there, but it was going to be refunded, which has not happened yet, we wrote to booking and the hotel, but no response from both sides, so no more stay in Ibis Sarlat Center, and also we have our doubts about ***********.
