We have just came home from a lovely week. I don't get all the bad reviews on this hotel. Yes it is basic but was a pleasant stay. Staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Room was dated but was clean and beds changed every couple of days. You get what u pay for. U want a 5star hotel then book a 5star. This hotel needs more better reviews so people actually book here. They have a lot of potential given half the chance. Would definitely go back. Forget all the negative comments and try it for yourself.

When we arrived at the hotel late after a long days travel, our flight having been delayed, we stoped at the bar for a drink before retiring to our room for the night. We were charged for these drinks, which immediately sent alarm bells ringing. Not the best welcome to our holiday. The room was large but tired, and the downstairs bedroom smelled strongly of damp. We decided to try and make the most of it and turn a blind eye to the obvious short comings of the hotel so far. We figured we spend very little time in our room and we are naturally upbeat people so we decided to simply try and the most of it. The next morning, the first morning of our ‘holiday’ we go to breakfast. There are flies crawling all over the food so we can’t eat anything outside of the metal containers. The fruit that was laid out was clearly rotten and yet everyday the same fruit was put out as if one day someone might just fancy a sweaty rotten apple to go with their fly infested cheeses. I have attached photos. I’m not exaggerating. The hotel is filthy. The idea that it is four star is an absolute joke. I have never experienced such a dirty, run down, hotel in my life. This place makes Fawlty Towers look like the Ritz. The food is only labelled sporadically which presents a huge risk to customers with specific dietary requirements. One of our new friends has coeliac disease which means her body will attack itself when contaminated with gluten. The lack of labels is completely unacceptable. We then go to collect our ‘towels’ only to be given four of what can only be described as headscarves. Everything in this hotel is a substandard version of what you would expect to receive and it gets worse!! We spoke to a couple who described their stay as the worst 9 days of their lives. They told us that during their stay the pool had not been cleaned at all. There’s nowhere to sit to cool down except for your room in which the air con is actually absolutely fine, but probably is the only thing that is. Tired children have nowhere to be pushed in their buggies when they need a siesta. The parents among us will know exactly what I mean, and there’s no snacks or ice creams other than some random cakes that are bought out at 5pm. Disappointed is an understatement. At La Blanch a hotel we stayed in last year of a similar price. There were snacks and ice creams for the children all day. It made their holiday. In spite of all these negatives we focused our energies on the pool, seemingly the only good thing about this place despite the filthy floor and apparent lack of cleaning regime. However we then became aware that the children of several families were blistered and bleeding from their extremities. All of our children had been chemically burned by the pool water. We made the manager aware but the pool remained open and no apologies were made. Absolutely disgraceful!! We had a local pharmacist confirm the burns and issue our children with a series of medicated creams which we

Right off the bat, this is not 5* luxury resort. I didn’t pay for a 5 star resort, so wouldn’t expect it to be. I was there when some of the previous reviewers were there and sometimes it’s clear that some people don’t realise you get what you pay for. I wanted quiet, peaceful and inexpensive. Let’s discuss a few points: The pool was clean, not overly chlorinated and warm. I personally witnessed the pool guy clean and maintain the pool every single evening. Our room was a family room with 2 levels overlooking the pool area. Yes the downstairs was a bit darker but perfect for the nocturnal teens I brought with me. The air con was amazing. Truly, superb. The rooms are a bit tired (think the old style centre parcs kind of worn and used but still fully functional) but we had a cleaner who came round 3 times in the week we were there. She was amazing! The rooms have been used, they’re not pristine and I think with a wee bit of money spent on them would be fantastic. The hotel is small, quiet and the staff are lovely. The reception staff were always on hand for advice or to call a taxi. This cost 150lira into the small town centre. Not expensive or about 1.3 km walk. All flat, no hills to get to the centre. The restaurant area does need work, it’s very tired and there are flies which would be eliminated with some of those electric flytrap things other hotels seem to have all over. That’s the nature of being in a hot country surrounded by mountains. Sit outside, then they won’t bother you. Flies do get on the cold items left out, to be honest, I just dug under the first layer and got stuff but covers would be great. The hot food was good. Not the hideous “let’s all go on holiday from the middle of England and demand English food” type stuff but home cooked bulger wheat pilaf, rice, meats, meatballs, pasta, couscous, creamy local veg, the biggest tomatoes you’ve ever seen. The fruit could do with being removed. Replace with daily fresh cut watermelon/pineapple/mango/papaya and it would be perfect. I’ve seen people complaining that the staff don’t speak enough English. That’s because you’re in Turkey, how much Turkish do you speak? Use google translate if it’s that huge an issue. The staff speak basic English and that is more than enough for me as I’m terrible with other languages so use alternative methods of communication. My one major gripe is a store in the town absolutely scammed me, charged me £112 instead of £25 and then became incredibly rude and intimidating when I called them out. They’re the last kind of touristy shop as you walk up the Main Street on the right hand side. Sells all sorts of crochet stuff, bowls, Turkish delight etc etc. be warned about them. The dolphin restaurant, lux and new gate restaurants were amazing! New gate has karaoke and dancer evenings and the staff were outstanding there. Shout out to all of them as they truly made our whole trip the best fun. All in all I’m definitely coming back. Will

Absolute hell hole. Rude arrogant and passive aggressive manager, fly covered cold food. Last nights dinner is todays breakfast with reheated chips and boiled eggs. Rooms filthy. No housekeeping or fresh towels. Worse than an hostel. Could be lovely but nobody cares nor takes pride in their work. Pictures do not show half of it! Arrived to our annexe room. Dungeon! Refused to stay there and was moved to a room with a balcony. Tried to make us pay for an upgrade. We did not. Some other guests have experienced the same. They’ve been changed £200 cash to change room! Pool is clean. Lifeguard is friendly. Slide opens briefly. Drinks are flat. Only three spirits included. Barman Martin friendly but leaves in 2 days and will open his own bar in town. No stock to use in bar so using dregs. Staff do not speak English apart from barman. Beach was nice. Only soft drinks in small plastic cups available. Lady nice. Makes sandwiches in hour slot. Honestly avoid this like the plague. I never write reviews and thought the ones I read must have been overreactions but my god it is awful!!

PLEASE listen to all the reviews and DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL! :( If you have already booked this holiday and still have time to change it, please go elsewhere otherwise you will regret it!! Beautiful hotel round the corner “L Hotel” please go there instead!! This was my first family summer holiday with my husband and our 1 year old and also for my husband’s birthday. It was definitely one we will remember.. for all the wrong reasons. For a start the hotel looks nothing like the photos on here or anywhere on your holiday providers website photos so do not believe any of it! Those photos are extremely outdated and probably what it looked like back when it first opened. It is run down, like a shack on the side of the road. Not even a hotel, more like apartment blocks, filthy, overgrown with weeds and buildings covered in hornet nests. The whole place is dark and dreary, not even the rooms have a main light in them! When we arrived we were taken to our room by the awful and rude night time receptionist and he demanded a tip from my husband which he refused to give as we did not ask for any help and were managing perfectly fine with our bags. The room was HOT because the aircon is practically non-existent.. think of someone just blowing air into your face occasionally.. that’s about as powerful and as cold as it felt. The bathroom was completely filthy and had no toilet seat. A “handy man” came back 3 times with a new seat to attach to it. Once the aircon started to oscillate, it begun absolutely pouring, no exaggeration! I went to reception and we moved to another room. Equally the aircon didn’t work but atleast it wasn’t raining! Again no room main light just a broken bedside lamp. Floor looks like it’s been mopped with muddy water and bathroom was all pink, slimy, broken and absolutely disgusting. You didn’t even want to remove your shoes! Brown blankets on beds have male ej*culate on them and it seems judging by other posts previously that this isn’t just a one off to find this. Says the rooms come with a safe.. they do not. But would I trust this hotel and its employees to not access my safe whilst I’m out? Absolutely not! The people who work here are bizarre. It all felt like a horrible dream and fictional world. The restaurant staff have filthy uniforms and work all hours of the day. They would just come and kiss my daughter with I was not ok with and they would stand just staring at her. They don’t speak a word of English either which is very unusual in Turkish places where there are British tourists. I’m part Turkish myself and so had to use my broken Turkish to attempt to communicate but most guests here did not have that ability! Hotel is currently 70% Turkish guests 30% British and it seems they only cater for Turkish. I know what good Turkish food is and what this hotel serves up wouldn’t even be appealing to rats. Flies on absolutely everything, meat and cheese left uncovered in a restaurant that is warm. Fruit mouldy but put

We are an easy going family and never complain but this is the worst hotel we have stayed in, the atmosphere is depressing and the setting in dark and dingy. Rooms are dark and dingy with leg missing off bed and stains on base, pillows and mattress were nice and sheets were clean. Had to ask reception to get room cleaned cause needed fresh towels and toilet roll after 3 days with no cleaner. There was dirty nappy and wipes in view when on balcony, told reception and they did get this cleaned. View was nice from balcony. Pool was nice. No entertainment or activities at all, no dart board, no table tennis, this was beginning of September so should be still in season. So miss sold by love holidays as would never of booked knowing this. We got a pack of cards from behind the bar. Staff pleasant enough, grounds man friendly. Food was OK but eating area is not nice at all and put you off eating in there. Sarigerme is a lovely area, short walk to town and all shops and restaurants are friendly. Beach is nice, short walk or free shuttle at set times. Can book watersports at beach off friendly man. Partner fell down stairs and has multiple injuries due to being in darkbess and loose banister, no check up from manager to see how he was or anything. Would recommend Sarigerme but not this hotel. Has potential but won't be returning to see if any improvements. Lesson learned, I will not make this mistake again.
