I struggled with writing this review because of the two accommodating and personable owners. They are very friendly and attentive to guest needs in light of the fact they are actively trying to sell this property. Having said that, I find it hard to overlook the negatives as many other reviewers have. There's no television in any room so bring a book. The hot water, as one reviewer stated, takes a while in the bathroom sinks. Entry to our room was by a skeleton key. Since there's no deadbolt available, this becomes a safety issue as you cannot lock the door with a skeleton key at night in the event there is some kind of emergency. There was a hotel-like safety bar for the room but it did not improve safety. WiFi coverage is very limited on the property. It's obvious from the many dead spots that a mesh network is not in use. Two wall sconce lighting fixtures did not work, so, the room was limited to the light on a ceiling fan and a desk lamp. The king mattress in the room had seen better days as it was bowed in the middle. With the existence of several cobwebs, it was obvious the room had not been cleaned on a regular basis. Now, the positives. The free breakfast was prepared by a chef and was very good. Several fine area restaurants are available a short distance away. There's plenty of parking since the property contains only 4 rooms. While there is AC in the rooms, there is none in the public areas making for a sticky stay if you visit during a warm spell.
