We were a group of 16 experienced travelers, all friends. We stayed there for 3 nights beginning September 22, 2024. 8 of us became sick from food poisoning. After comparing notes on what we ate, it was decided we got sick from eating either a fish soup or a grilled fish. The hotel was not accommodating to us. We had a meal plan, and after the first night, we took our meals elsewhere. Some of us were violently ill for 2 days. The water in the hotel had a bad odor to it, and although the hotel said the water was potable, I did not drink it.

Read so many bad reviews that I was really concerned about coming here but was very impressed! People just need to go into their stay with an open mind. Albania is still developing with its tourism, and it’s all still very new to them. Yes, things are a little bit rough round the edges with some snags, but the rusting is to do with the platform by the sea. The steps are perfectly safe and as long as children are supervised, I don’t see the issue. Breakfast was likely a typical Albanian breakfast. No, there’s no toaster but there’s plenty of other options and people should just be mindful that they’re in a different culture. Staff were lovely, made a real effort and spoke good English. Room lovely. Pool and private sea areas were amazing. Quite a few local restaurants, we enjoyed “Appetite”. The hotel bar/restaurant are lovely with incredible views. Don’t be put off by the negative reviews and go in with an open mind. This country is really trying!

The hotel is really nice. The room, with great AC, was pretty small but nice since we didn't spend much time there. All rooms seem to have balcony with view out over the ocean. The service was really good and all personal very helpful. We went there in the beginning of September. That we can recommend since there aren't many tourists that time of the year. The sun beds in the hotel area are all included and the same with the bath towels. That's nice so you don't need to spend extra money on those things. They accept both cache (LEK, Euro, US Dollar) as well as credit cards. So over all this is a really nice hotel to stay at. There is maybe only one drawback and that's the distance to the city center. But a taxi to the city center is quite cheap (1500 LEK).

We stayed a week at this beautiful resort at end of May. May is still a low season for Albania which meant that we had both sides of the coin. In general, we enjoyed the fact that there were not so much people meaning no yelling families or children. We got to choose the best spots at the pool or beach and same case was at the near Ksamil area (which I recommend to visit for sure, awesome beaches). However, this also meant that many places were still not open and when we wanted to party we couldnt find any (expect on saturdays when locals were partying too). The food in general was not great in Albania so dont come here if fancy food is something u are looking for. Breakfast OKish but annoying to have cold food (eggs / sausages etc) when coming ”late” to eat. We had menu dinner selected for the week and the food quality variated a lot and repeated itself, lots of room for improvement. Young locals speak english pretty well, elders not. Positives: - Last week of may is still low season for Albania which resulted a low amount of people and lots of space at the pool and beach - Own pool and two beaches - Resort area was great with beautiful views - Awesome time to relax without lots of people - No children due to low season - Low prices (about half of the price level of Finland) - Renting a scooter (20e a day) is super recommended, 20mins drive to Ksamil with super beaches. Visited also Blue Eye (local spring in small amazon) which is recommened to visit also 40mins drive. Negatives: - Low season at the hotel meant that the pool bar was not open - Low season at the hotel resulted that the beach bar was not open (looked to be great place for music and partying if it was open) - Food in the dinner menu was repeating itself - Quality of food variated alot. - Poor Wifi - Breakfast not ideal - No partying due to low season Even if there were lots of negatives, overall positive experience for us due to low amount of people and super beautiful place.

The private beach is nice, clean and good for families with kids. There is also a playground for children, as well as a fast food and a restaurant. The staff is incredibly kind, and the food (and cakes) in the hotel restaurant is top tier. After a week with luxury on Santa Quaranta, we know for sure we will be back. By far one of the best hotels in Saranda.

This is not a 5* hotel Not even a 3* hotel. Services does not exist, breakfast does not have the minimum such as butter (only margarine), yogurt (only puddings) or even a toaster or bread to toast. Our rooms were at the entrance of the breakfast room, so impossible to sleep after 8:00pm with the breakfast room noice. We asked to change but we’re told it’s not possible. Internet does not work properly, it’s impossible to stay connected for more then a couple of minutes. There is garbage all around the property. Old beach furniture is abandoned at the hotel site for everyone to see surrounded of garbage. Big garbage bins are completely full to be seen at the entrance of the parking of the hotel. Staff Is seen smoking outside the kitchen during lunch time while we waited 1:30 to be served lunch. The pool and beach area access build in wood and metal is full of rust, completely destroyed due to the rust accumulated during the year without any renovation or maintenance. One of the stairs that gives access to the beach is even not operational as the stairs broke because of the rust. Screws show full of rust and broken. The rooms don’t look nice, despite having been renovated recently. The shower is badly build so the water comes out so much that it completely floods the entire floor, making it impossible to use. Definitely a place not to recommend, specially not if you look for a 5* hotel

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! I have traveled all over the world, stayed in various hotels (5 stars and below) and I have to say that this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I can’t even comprehend how it is classified as 5 stars. Terrible service. The reception staff are extremely rude and restaurant service is beyond terrible. Waited over an hour for our meal when the restaurant wasn’t even full. Initially they didn’t have our reservation when it was all paid for, but then solved the issue by giving us the two rooms above the restaurant and the reception. Additionally the rooms were next to the breakfast restaurant, so starting at 7:00 all you could hear were screaming children, plates, etc… at night it was also impossible to sleep between the squeaking door at the reception and the loud noise coming from the restaurant until 2 am at the minimum. We asked to change room, but they told us none were available and offered no other solution. Anyways rooms were extremely outdated, dirty, covered in bugs, broken showers, small, and definitely not like the images online. To add on the pool area is rusted, warn out, has loose screws. One of the set of stairs can even be used because it is broken and covered in rust. How is this possible in a 5 star summer resort. Unfortunately the list goes on. The hotel is surround by trash which is very much visible. There is a type of landfill on one side of the hotel with old truck, old beach beds, and other trash. It stinks. On the other side tables, chairs, etc and you can see the cooks smoking and playing with their kids during meal times. This is not something you should see as you enter a hotel. Now onto the breakfast, extremely basic for a 5 star resort. There wasn’t even a toaster or butter available. Food was not good and terrible quality. Breakfast facility looked dirty. To finish off We were meant to stay five nights (we fully paid for) and left after 2 nights back to dhermi where there are nice hotels and beaches. At the checkout they didn’t even ask why we left early, but instead were very concerned with making sure we hadn’t used anything from the mini bar in both rooms. This is not at all what I expect from a 5 star hotel. When I pay the price of this I expect good service, good rooms and overall an excellent experience. NEVER AGAIN, and please save yourself the bad experience.

Listed as 5 star but no where near that rating from me Great room with great Veiw Disappointingly no tea or coffee supplied In premium rate room Did arrive after request made at front desk after day 3 Breakfast average and served up at once hence cold eggs if you arrived later Staff at breakfast did not have a clue about customer service in a 5 star hotel and his out of site unless collection of waste and plates Probably paid very little so can understand why such poor service Never tried dinner or lunch so can’t comment , but no where any where to encourage guests to stay and eat The hotel is very clean and female staff kept busy cleaning all day I am aware that this is probably one of the best hotels in area , but be aware not good customer service A disappointment as was looking forward I suppose if you pay your staff low wages then they won’t get the training to supply the service expected in such a resort
