We loved our 4 nights at kiwassa. The host was perfect- helpful but not intrusive. Our room was generous and felt like “The Adirondacks”

The lake is pretty but no beach area, full breakfast, had to ask for decaf coffee in mornings and they ran out, noise from parking lot and their family most days

Lovely room with lake view & private balcony
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and were very happy with the room and lake view. The mattress was firm and we enjoyed the private balcony. The only thing we noticed that detracted was that the wall was thin between our room and the room next door, so we could hear the other guests just a bit now and then. But it was quiet for sleeping and we really enjoyed our stay here.

This area gets absolute quiet after dark. Driving in dark, especially in rain/snow conditions, needs extra caution due to mountainous terrain. We were first time guests and arrived at 10 pm. Office/reception was closed by then. We did not have any problem getting into our room (instructions provided by phone message) but to reach the house we had to take guidance from neighbors who were luckily awake.

This is the second time we booked at this location. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Every morning we woke to the peaceful sound of loons on the lake. Accommodations were extremely clean and comfortable. Margorie is a wonderful host! We look forward to another stay!

We stayed in the separate apartment above the barn next door to the B&B and it was fantastic. The lake was just steps away (where we were encouraged to store our own kayaks), the views of the lake and surrounding mountains were wonderful, and despite it being only a few miles from Saranac Lake village, it felt many miles away from everything. The hosts were helpful and kind and we hope to come back to stay next Fall. The apartment is open with 2 beds next to each other which is great for a family and the kitchen was fully-equipped.

We had a wonderful stay in the Pike Room. The room was spacious and comfortable with an expansive view of the lake. The location is ideal: on a quiet, secluded lake great for swimming with many options for boating and nearby hiking, but only a ten minute drive from the town of Saranac Lake with its restaurants and shops. Marjorie went out of her way to be helpful. Just note that the continental breakfast is quite light and that the kitchen has no stove, so it’s best to do some planning for meals.
