I spent a quiet time at Shikishima Bettei, which I have been interested in for a long time. It is a hotel with 10 rooms, but on that day, only 2 groups stayed. The hot springs of Jozankei erupt from the riverbed and riverbanks of the Toyohira River, and the hot springs of Shikishima also flow directly from the river, and you can see and feel them with your own skin. It is luxurious that all the baths in the large public bath are free-flowing, and I think it is the best location among the hotels in Jozankei. If the number of rooms is small and there are many guests, there is an app that lets you know how crowded the public bath is, so it is recommended for those who want to relax in a quiet environment. However, since it is an inn built on the river bank, there may be restrictions on the guest side, so please check carefully.
