We recently stayed at Hotel Emion Sapporo during our family summer trip to Hokkaido, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our family room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed with comfort in mind. The beds were cozy, the bathroom was modern and well-equipped, and we especially appreciated the little amenities that made traveling with kids easier – from slippers and pajamas to a kettle for late-night tea. Staff were kind, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. Every member of the team seemed genuinely dedicated to making our stay comfortable. Whether you’re visiting Sapporo for the first time or returning, we wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Emion Sapporo. It made our summer family trip to Hokkaido extra special, and we would definitely love to stay here again.
The service could have been improved. We expected that the hotel staff would help with making reservations at some restaurants that required phone reservation as it would be impossible for foreign travellers who had no Japanese mobile no. But the staff refused and didnt even try to help find a solution.
The good thing is hotel is located near many attractions and main station (however it was a bit difficult to find at first).
2 small double beds were fine for 2 adults and 2 kids. Great breakfast buffet including wine and ice cream, salmon roe, cod roe and rice porridge for kids! Late checkout incurs a fee of 2000 yen an hour. Right outside exit 9 of JR with complete step-free access from the JR trains. No facilities but at least the lifts are fast. Close to daimaru where there is a Pokémon Heaps of mainland chinese tourists but I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here twice during our Hokkaido trip.
Pros: close to Sapporo station, very pleasant and accommodating staff, smooth and efficient check in and check out process, clean public bath (you can get a free popsicle), breakfast was good, plus on how the neighborhood was quiet, it was thoughtful too how there were free candies during the start of the golden week,
Cons: tbh, cant think of any. Other than it is a bit dated but hey, for the price, location, and amenities, it’s a great deal.
Overall, 5/5… we will stay again.
5mins walk from Sapporo station North exit. Water dispenser and ice maker at our level makes it convenient. Only 1 big luggage can be placed at corner of the room. The other had to be on the walkway in front of the bed. Rather standard space for Japanese hotel. Public bath was nice especially in the cold winter. There is a separate space for relaxing. Wasn’t being told of the coffee lounge during check in as read from reviews here.
The rooms are of a decent size with simple yet elegant decor. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from JR Sapporo Station. It's also conveniently close to the famous Hokkaido University, roughly a 10-15 minute stroll away. Rooms offer expansive views. The ground-floor restaurant features a wide variety of delicious, reasonably priced dishes, and operates for long hours, though you might need to queue during peak meal times.
The front desk staff should proceed with normal check in process when available, rather than telling the customer to use kiosk while they are standing in the counter to see the customer spend some time on how to use it.
The customer may need the check in service from front desk staff to quickly get the room for rest after a long flight.
We see the old fashioned check in process was much better, when we arrived at the hotel and showed our passport, the front desk staff had the room key ready for us.
Kiosk should be an option for customers who wish to avoid long wait times or when the front desk is busy.
I stayed for 4 nights, and the soundproofing was excellent. The mattress was just the right level of firmness, and every night when I returned to the hotel, I used the hot spring bath package. I’ve stayed here twice before and didn’t get the breakfast package either time. It’s not like some places that stand out for their amazing seafood or sashimi, but it wins in having a bit of everything and being well-balanced.
The location is very convenient, just outside the North Exit of JR Sapporo Station, and it only takes 3-5 minutes on foot to reach the hotel. There are 7-Eleven, Lawson, and Hokkaido's local convenience store Seico nearby. Sapporo Station has Daimaru Department Store and Steller, which can satisfy your shopping needs. It is also very close to Odori Park, Sapporo TV Station, and Tanukikoji, which can be reached in 20 minutes. The hotel provides free breakfast, you can choose to use it or not on TV, the front desk service attitude is also very good, great.
Although hotel (annex) is a bit out dated but the location is very good. It was just across the road from Sapporo station North Exit.. This is my 2nd time staying in this hotel. I will still pick this hotel in my next visit to Sapporo.

Very Good
GGuest UserThis is one of the most affordable major chain budget hotels. Both the service and cleanliness were satisfactory. The complimentary breakfast, while simple, was nutritionally balanced and certainly filling. The only downside is that, compared to other large chain budget hotels, it doesn't offer a large communal bath.
GGuest UserI used it for the entrance exam of a certain university, but the location is very good and there is almost no noise, so I think I can concentrate on my last-minute study.
MMeiyueI stayed here for 3 nights with 5 friends.
It was about a 10-minute walk from the nearest Sapporo Station, so I think it was within walking distance.
There were no convenience stores or shops near the hotel, but there were convenience stores, izakayas, and other shops on the walk from the station to the hotel.
I booked a twin room with two double beds, but when we got to the room there was also a single bed so 5 people could sleep there.
Check-in and check-out were a little confusing, but I was able to ask a hotel staff member right away using Skype at the unmanned front desk, which was great.
倩倩倩RoseOriginally only planned to live for two days, because the feeling of living is very good, and extended for two days. The most commendable is the service. The two receptionists at the front desk are particularly good, because I am traveling alone, I will introduce the recommended places to go with me, and then recommend me to the Chinese version of the travel guide. Very happy time to travel alone. The quality of the girls in the same room is very good. At night, everyone is very polite and keeps quiet activities. On the first floor is a small family restaurant, fried spring rolls are very delicious, homemade wine is also very good, but closed every Tuesday, need to pay attention. Although the public event space on the second floor is not very big, I have met good friends from South Korea and Taiwan. If you go to Hokkaido, you will plan to live again. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Hokkaido University. It is very convenient to get a traffic light from the subway.
GGuest UserWalking to the station, the room was clean and I was able to spend very comfortable. It was very convenient because there was a washing dryer, but when I first washed and dryed, it didn't end easily and there was a letter of U04, so I thought it was 4 minutes, but I realized that it was an error because it didn't end at all. Dust that comes out when drying I thought that when I opened the box, I couldn't dry it with a lot of dry garbage.
It was a 100-point stay if it was cleaned up to the garbage of the washing machine.
GGuest UserAlthough the room was shown as a 1.4m double bed when booking, it was actually only a 1.2m bed. There were also few charging sockets in the room, so you had to bring a power strip.
GGuest UserIf it has luggage storage service, I would give a 5-star rate. The location is excellent. It just a few minutes walk to the train station. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
I also want to complain about the incorrect information provided by Trip.com. It said the hotel was luggage storage service and I booked It mostly for this reason. It interrupted my plan of trip when I found there was no such service after checking in.
GGuest UserNot very satisfied with a stay... There was hair dust on the bed. The room was on the third floor and there was no elevator to climb by yourself.
The advantage is that the area is not bad, the indoor facilities are also complete, not far from the station.
AAin_The distance is quite walkable to the train station but during winter and snowy days, it could be a bit difficult to move your luggage. The room is somehow spacious for only me as it has double decker. But the toilet is a bit smelly and small i think
