"The hotel is 5 mins walk from Susukino underground station and around 20-30 mins walk from Sapporo station. Breakfast was extensive and definitely the highlight for the stay with options like hotate and tuna sashimi as well as hokkaido crab legs! The room was small which was typical for Japanese hotels but clean and functional. There was also a public bath but was usually crowded. If you are staying at this hotel, definitely go for the breakfast!"
"Our first stop in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Transportation was very convenient. There's a direct airport bus from the airport; we got off at Susukino station, and it was about a 3-4 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel facilities were a bit dated, but generally acceptable, especially since we were out exploring all day anyway. Just a few minutes' walk away is Cocono, which offers dining, shopping, and a supermarket, making it very convenient. The supermarket stocked a variety of Hokkaido-exclusive Sapporo products. We got a great deal on this hotel through a Ctrip group purchase."
"I stayed 2 nights on smoking-room type but I think the smell was not that good, it’s my false that choose this type of room. The staff was very helpful, they allow me to change to non smoking room. That was very nice. The location near shopping street and bus stop to CTS airport. Very convenient for walking around."
"New hotel - hardware is good. Rooms are comfortable. Gym is small though...
Software still has a lot to improve. Staff are not helpful nor flexible to accommodate client requests.
Facing the main street, room was noisy before midnight. No dedicated drop off point for hotel guests. Need to carry the luggages to cross the road before taking the lift up to the check-in lobby on 7/f. Imagine how chaotic it would be if you have 3 big and 3 small hard luggages as well as 3 children to manage. No hotel staff is there to help.
Location is convenient but in the middle of the red light district and on top of a shopping mall and cinema.
U may need to cramp into a lift with restaurant diners and cinema goers when you go back to hotel after a long day walk. Felt that many triad society members walked by me when I walked on the street. Though nothing happened, felt a little unsafe.
The vibe of the premium lounge is exceptionally calming and relaxing. Chilling out here after a bloodshed shopping day helped you wind down completely.
The view from the outdoor area of the premium lounge is far reaching and can see both the Ferris wheel and the Sapporo TV tower.
Will not recommend this hotel unless proximity to red light district is important. This hotel is particularly suitable for red light district customers who want a place to do whatever they need to do quickly. Quite fascinating to seeing a young lady leaving hotel with a Japanese speaking old men. Somehow I felt that a business transaction is going on. The multi stories shopping mall, restaurants and cinema provide a perfect camouflage for this type of business. Well may be I got it wrong and they are just grandpa and grand daughter...."
"The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station, and the Namboku Line subway station is just across the street. From there, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take one subway stop to reach the heart of Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade. The hotel's location experiences less foot traffic, making it very peaceful at night. The facilities are brand new, and the room is very spacious, with more than enough room to fully open two large suitcases. Each floor has a water dispenser and coin-operated washing machines, which is very convenient."
"Nice hotel close to Jr Sapporo station. Provides baby amenities like bed guard, diaper bin. They have a list of amenities you can borrow for free and some you can rent like a baby bed. Air purifier, you can ground your own coffee. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We asked for baby amenities and extra pillows and someone brought it up. There's also car parking at the hotel for 1500yen but it was full, so they directed us to another nearby one for the same cost which you pay at check-out and not at the car park. Lounge was ok for some light snacks and drinks. The bath lounge has a nice view of Sapporo tower, but the men's bath doesn't."
"Conveniently located so going to different eateries and places of interests has been easy. Clean and big rooms so it is functional. Bed is comfortable and provide all kinds of toiletries."
"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Emion. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed.
The location is excellent—convenient to city attractions, transport and shop, yet quiet enough to relax. I also really appreciated the delicious breakfast, hot spa, beautiful pool, or efficient housekeeping].
Overall, my experience exceeded expectations."
"location is rather outside the main busy tourist area, but the hotel offer free shuttle to sapporo, it could be better if they have evening schedule too. Room is rather spacious as in Japan, amenities are good in quality. Bottle of drinking water has been provided everyday. Breakfast is great, a wide variety of choice."
"The hotel room is definitely spacious for Japan. While the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained. The bathroom is fully stocked with amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, makeup remover, facial cleanser, toner, and lotion – this attention to detail is truly impressive. It's about a 10-minute walk to Daimaru Department Store and the JR station. Tanukikoji Shopping Street is a bit further, around 20 minutes on foot. There's a small supermarket right next to the hotel, which is very convenient. I encountered a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk on my check-out day. I would likely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Sapporo."

Great
GGuest UserI wanted to stay somewhere near the Sapporo Station because I planned to join the day-tour to Biei and I also needed to take the train to Otaru, so the location of the hotel was pretty good although there were a few more hotels that were a bit closer to the Sapporo Station. Still, every staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was big enough to keep 2 suitcases open, which I personally liked the most. Also, this hotel is known for its delicious breakfast and it was even better that a buffet style and a Japanese style are served, which I enjoyed a lot as I stayed for 4 nights. Lastly, although it takes about an hour and a half to get to the airport, you have an option to take the bus to the airport from the hotel. Unless you are planning to stay somewhere near Susukino, this hotel can be the one great choice.
GGuest UserGreat hotel in a nice & quiet location in Sapporo. I enjoyed the hotel and its well-equipped 24 hour gym. Front desk staff were friendly to my kids and even assisted us in booking a bigger taxi to Sapporo Station as we had big luggage in tow.
The hotel is well-appointed and trendy in design. The complimentary beverages which were replenished daily was a nice touch!
Definitely recommended in Sapporo! We will be back!

GGuest UserGood location with public transport stations in the vicinity, e.g JR, subway, public buses & tour buses. Hotel's room & environments are clean & tidy. No smell of cigarettes as it is a non-smoking property. Service-wide is generally good as I only have interactions with hotel staff during check-in & check-out. However, the toilet area & bathroom's grooming area are small. There is no space around the washing basin for putting cosmetic bag or personal stuff, etc.
EEasyEssyThe hotel is a bit old and the room wasn’t very spacious. The location is decent—about a five-minute walk from the subway. However, I had an issue with the air conditioning. The room was quite hot, and I couldn’t adjust the temperature or open the window, which made it uncomfortable at times.
On the positive side, I arrived before check-in and left my luggage at the lobby. The staff were very kind and brought it up to our room, since we came back late that night. Their helpfulness and service were much appreciated.

AAlenaThe location of the hotel is very great. There is a train station in a 2-minute walk, a shopping street is nearby, and it is a 5-10 minute walk to Sapporo TV Tower or Susukino area.
The room had a beautiful view of Sapporo TV Tower. The bed was too big 😂. I feel like four people can share it and feel comfortable. The room was clean.
The breakfast was very good. They had a lot of options to choose from.

Cchen0312The rooms were very clean, the hotel felt new, and the service was excellent, though it was quite pricey. Each bed came with both a soft and a firm pillow, which was a nice touch. We were a group of 3 adults and 2 children, and booked two standard rooms. The Ctrip booking process was a bit confusing; it seemed to charge for 3 adults for what appeared to be a 2-adult-1-child setup. At check-in, the front desk confirmed our booking for three adults, but helpfully clarified that children under 5 dine for free. We were also assigned a triple room, which was a nice bonus, although I'm not sure if it was related to the initial pricing discrepancy or a standard hotel amenity. For those unsure about breakfast, a tip would be to book your stay without it and then pay for it directly at the hotel.
The hotel's public bath (onsen) and gym were both quite small. Breakfast quality was decent. During our two-day stay, we found the pastries to be quite exquisite. There was a live cooking station offering asparagus and cheese, as well as a delicate, made-to-order scallop dish. While beautifully presented, the scallop dish didn't particularly stand out in terms of flavor.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the JR station. Directly opposite the hotel is an Izakaya called 'Saki no Kura' which is very traditional, welcoming, and delicious, serving sashimi, grilled dishes, and a variety of seasonal specialties – definitely better than the options found in shopping malls. Hokkaido University is also just across the road, which was perfect for letting the kids run around.
Overall, aside from the price, everything else was fantastic.
GGuest UserI chose this hotel specifically for its private bath, only to discover that reservations must be made 2-3 months in advance via email/phone call. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus from Sapporo city, which typically takes about an hour, but you also need to book that at least a month in advance, according to various bloggers. It was quite disappointing not to enjoy the private bath experience and to have to arrange our own transportation from/back to the city. The frustrating part is that you wouldn’t know the advance booking requirement when you make a reservation through Trip.com or similar platforms. Here’s a rephrased version of your statement:
I honestly find this quite unfair.
Bblr32READ ME IF U WANT A FULL DETAILED REVIEW:
Location: It was good. If you want to save up on transportation cost, the hotel is legit walking distance to many (like the JR sapporo station that has a mall, the clock tower, etc. Theres also a few convenient stores really close by.
Lobby: I came here when it was snowing so prepare for slippery and dirty floors! Theres also only 2 elevators and a lot of tourists come in groups so you might need to line up to use it.
Amenities: Theres only 2 laundry machines so try not to need to use it because they dont have a system for people using it, making it hard to identify whose clothes belong to when its done so the staff just lets it be there, making it hard for others to use it.
The amenities in the room was standard. I do enjoy the remote control bidet and they have a kid’s washing option which was rare.
Some reviews complained about the cleaning seemed to not read the instructions. Please use the ‘please clean’ or ‘do not disturb’ cards when you stay there and put the cards outside your room before 10 am. This information will be given during check in and they’ll will wait for you to finish reading it.
Room: The room can only fit 1 large luggage and at most 2 mid size luggage. It was pretty small if you have a big body frame.
The room wasn’t that clean. There was dried up chilli oil stain on the table that can easily be wiped off. This lowkey made me wonder how they cleaned the room and there i went on a bit of a cleaning spree on most frequently used places before utilising it.
The pillow was too soft that lowkey feels like nothing and the lighting at the vanity was bad for applying make up.
The air condition was bad in my opinion. They shouldve just not put it on heater mode because it was too warm to feel sleep at night. We had to turn off the heater and open the window to sleep.
Bonus:
- they gave us a few coupons for nearby seafood restaurants
- the room has a purifier + humidifier which is good for the cold weather
Overall:
A great hotel to stay in if you’re looking for a budgeted stay! Great location and comfortable accommodation.
JJefxxxxxA cozy room with a welcoming atmosphere, reliable air-conditioning, and ample hanging space for coats and jackets. The bed was very comfortable, free from the distraction of an unnecessary decorative bed runner. The breakfast was excellent, and the location was very convenient. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
It would be helpful to add extra signage requesting guests to refrain from loud phone conversations in the corridor, especially around midnight, as not all guests are considerate or aware of noise levels.

Very Good
GGuest UserThe hotel is so crowded and full of people (mostly local people). We waited 10-15 minutes I'm a queue everytime when we went for dinner/breakfast buffet, and then queued up again at counters before we got the food. The dining hall can hold a few hundred people and was in almost full capacity when. We visited. It was not a pleasant experience to us as we came to enjoy the onsen and food, but not to compete with the crowd. Onsen was average. Food was average and tasted like those prepared from food factory. Frankly speaking, I won't come for the second time despite the competitive price. Service was average and no smile on the face of the receptionist.
