"You can book your train ticket from the airport to JR Sapporo Station via Trip.com. At the gate, find the blue automatic ticket machine and use the QR code provided to get your paper ticket. Once you arrive at Sapporo Station, transfer to the Namboku subway line, two stops towards Makomanai, and get off at Susukino Exit 4. Enter the mall and go up to the 7th floor to check in. The hotel's location is excellent, and it's very clean and new. I stayed here twice during my trip. Do not take the airport bus; the intervals are long, and you'll freeze while waiting in line in the cold wind."

"The hotel is 5 mins walk from Susukino underground station and around 20-30 mins walk from Sapporo station. Breakfast was extensive and definitely the highlight for the stay with options like hotate and tuna sashimi as well as hokkaido crab legs! The room was small which was typical for Japanese hotels but clean and functional. There was also a public bath but was usually crowded. If you are staying at this hotel, definitely go for the breakfast!"

"For our last night, we chose to stay near Sapporo Station. Initially, we thought about taking the bus, but it's too slow, so we ended up taking the JR train to the airport. If you're traveling with kids, I'd recommend booking reserved seats, especially during peak season, as non-reserved seats might not be available. For shopping and dining, I personally found Tanukikoji to be more convenient. This area near Sapporo Station gets very quiet after the department stores close at night. We ended up taking a taxi to Don Quijote in Tanukikoji, and it was bustling there... We booked a twin room, and for Japan, it was quite spacious. We dropped off our luggage the day before check-in, and the staff were very friendly and even helped us carry our bags when we checked in. The hotel is very close to Rokkatei, and there's a 7-Eleven right across the street. Plus, the airport shuttle stops right in front of the hotel, though it only runs four times a day (in the morning). I also recommend the 'little bird cookies' from the Shiki Hokkaido store at Sapporo Station."

"I specifically booked a stay for one night first, and after feeling good about it, I decided to extend my reservation. However, after breakfast the next day, I rebooked for two more nights through Trip.com. When I was checking in for the extension, the staff wouldn't let me stay in my original room. I had to change rooms, and I immediately had a bad feeling about it. I was moved to a small, dirty room on the 3rd floor, right next to the elevator, which was very noisy. The main issue was that after being moved to a smaller room, the mattress also became terrible; it was severely saggy in the middle. My back hurt from sleeping on it. There was nothing I could do since I couldn't cancel, so I just had to grit my teeth and endure the two nights. I don't understand why, for the same price and the same room type, they wouldn't let me stay in my original room, or at least give me a room of the same standard. The room for these last two nights was clearly much worse than the first night's room. The first picture shows the room from the first night. The second picture is the small room on the 3rd floor that I was moved to."

"I made a mistake in my booking; this hotel is close to Central Park, but it's a few subway stops away from the JR station. Hokkaido really doesn't have many elevators, but luckily, it's close to the subway exit! Plus, there's a JR shuttle service available! There's a timetable at the entrance, and you just need to book in advance – it was a real lifesaver! It's also close to the soup curry restaurant shown in the picture, within walking distance, which was a pleasant stroll."

"Our stay at Cross Hotel Sapporo was nothing short of amazing! We are a group of 5 & were traveling around Hokkaido, starting & ending off in Sapporo. We emailed the hotel to request if they could store some luggage for us till we return, as well as help us with restaurant reservations, and the staff were super prompt & extremely nice to accede to our requests. We even got upgraded to bigger rooms when we returned! We always felt so welcomed by the staff who were very attentive & so willing to help us. Needless to say rooms were very comfortable & onsen was great too (equipped with Dyson hairdryers). Location is also good, accessible via an underground passage all the way from the Sapporo station to Marumi Coffee Stand (so convenient cos it was raining when we arrived). Thank you so much for the great experience, I will gladly return to Cross Hotel!"

"The room is not that big, but there is enough space, you can even easily keep your suitcase open. The staff is very responsive. The location is just great - everything you need and even more is nearby. If necessary, you can wash your clothes here, which is very convenient. The bed is very comfortable, the soundproofing is good, or I just didn't have neighbors :)"

"Location: Unbeatable. An easy sub-10-minute walk to Sapporo JR Station, even with a 30” and a 20” suitcase. Room Size & Design: Perfectly adequate and smartly designed. The inclusion of both a full-height mirror and a medium-sized wall mirror at the desk was brilliant for makeup. Coffee Amenities: Above and beyond! The room had instant coffee, creamer, and sugar, plus a Nespresso machine. They generously provide 6 capsules per day (we enjoyed 12 capsules over our 2-night stay). Verdict: A top choice for convenience, comfort, and a quality caffeine fix in Sapporo."

"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Emion. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed. The location is excellent—convenient to city attractions, transport and shop, yet quiet enough to relax. "The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station, and the Namboku Line subway station is just across the street. From there, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take one subway stop to reach the heart of Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade. The hotel's location experiences less foot traffic, making it very peaceful at night. The facilities are brand new, and the room is very spacious, with more than enough room to fully open two large suitcases. Each floor has a water dispenser and coin-operated washing machines, which is very convenient."
