Had a wonderful stay at Kuriyasuizan. I booked the room with outdoor bath in my own room, had a great soak at all hours of the day.
The meals (dinner and breakfast) was wonderful, and service was great as well!
Only drawback was the long walk from the kappaliner bus stop, it was a nightmare dragging 2 luggages up and down a thick snow covered slope, 6 mins walk on Google maps felt like 20 mins. If only there was a shuttle provided by the hotel 🤣

I visited here because I wanted to give my boyfriend a happy memory before we got married, and I was so happy. My boyfriend also praised me for this perfect hotel, and I was so happy. I made a reservation at another ryokan, but I regretted staying here for two nights. I felt like I was being treated well, and I was happy because of the thoughtful touches and the amazing dinner. It will be difficult next year, but I will definitely come back the year after. I will visit Japan with my mother next week, so I wanted to change my reservation here, but I am so sad because there are no seats. I hope the cancellation reservation comes out.

The snow scene was also amazing, plus the hot spring in the snow. The only downside was that it was not very convenient to get around, and I had to take a taxi. Fortunately, the hotel could help me make a reservation, and the price was much cheaper than taking a taxi myself. You can make an appointment with the hotel for airport drop-off, which is more than half the price. By the way, one more thing is that you cannot bring children with you.
