I had a pleasant six-day stay at Hotel Hokke Club Sapporo. The room was surprisingly spacious, the largest I’ve stayed in so far in Japan. However, the hotel itself felt a bit dated, and I did notice quite a bit of dust on my desk, possibly due to the winter season and static buildup. On the positive side, the room came equipped with a humidifier and air purifier, which were lifesavers in the dry winter air—no nosebleeds this time!
The hotel’s location was incredibly convenient, right outside one of the exits of the Sapporo underground walkway from Sapporo Station, making it easy to get around, even with luggage. The breakfast was delicious and worth the 15 SGD price, providing a good variety to start the day. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. I had mistakenly booked a smoking room, but the lady at the front desk went out of her way to help us switch to non-smoking rooms. As the hotel was fully booked, we had to change rooms every two days during our stay, but their efforts to accommodate us were much appreciated.
