Baantalay Thungwualaen

Like the location of the hotel right next to Thung Wua Laen Beach. Along the beautiful scenery, across the road to the long sandy beach. The room is nice and spacious. Quiet atmosphere The front desk is nice and friendly. So book another night. Overall, I am very impressed. I recommend staying. Recently, the price has been reduced a lot. Three of us have come, and each person will drop 600 baht. However, during the epidemic, the hotel will not provide you with breakfast. The hotel is very friendly, so we upgraded the room to a family room. We booked a triple room with sea view. When we booked, the accommodation room on the first floor overlooked the sea. I got up early and went for a walk to enjoy the sea view and breeze. I was very satisfied.
Nana Beach Hotel & Resort

We stayed in Chumpon as we needed a stopover en route to Khao Sok from Hua Hin. This is definitely the best hotel in the area. We had a spacious, clean, comfortable room with no problems. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffets were lovely with a huge selection to choose from.. The only problem we had and this is nothing to do with the hotel, but the beaches were terribly littered, truly beyond belief that no-one in the town cleans the litter from the beach. Chumpon is one big RUBBISH DUMP.

This is an exceptional place .The staff are extremely hard working, friendly and can’t do enough for you . The villas are spotless, and the gardens and birds are tranquil. This was an amazing escape. A real hidden gem . We would highly recommend it to anyone
Armonia Village Resort and Spa

The rooms & hotel area were okay. But the hotel is quite far from beach other places (restaurants, shops etc.). So I think it's better suited to family or group who wants a quiet place separate from others. Also, it's quite hard to go outside unless you have your own transportation (i.e. no public transportation at all). It's also quite a long walk to the beach/main tourist spots (1 km) but I think you will need to be careful at night since you have to walk on quite an isolated road which pass thru some rubber farms which is quite dark at night.
Talay Sai @ Thung Wua Laen

I believe the correct name is now Talaysai@Thung Wua Laen. Marketed as beachfront on Booking.com but only the restaurant is. I arrived early morning after overnight train from Bangkok. I expected 2pm check in and organised myself accordingly. Reception were happy to take care of my suitcase. I ended up checking in earlier. The lady manager generously allowed me to partake in the buffet breakfast at no extra cost which was greatly appreciated. I stayed in a delux double room with seaview which was clean and spacious. Comfortable bed, excellent lighting but the aircon blows directly on to the bed but I didn't need need it during my sleep. Everything worked fine. TV stations are all Thai but if the internet is working you have access to Netflix and Youtube. The breakfast buffet was mainly Thai orientated but there were omelets, fried eggs and small hotdogs for me. Toast and some bakery items also offered. One distinguishing feature with this hotel is that it has an elevator which is highly unusual for a building with only a few floors. Good choice for those who travel with big heavy suitcases and whine about having to carry them up staircases. Overall, friendly, helpful staff providing good service at a well run and comfortable hotel.
Saphli Villa

Transition hotel from Koh Tao, beach side, small villa, not expensive, catch crabs in the rain on the beach at night. It's a pity that it was night when I arrived, and it was early morning when I left. It’s raining in the room to drag the box to different buildings, you know. Then the room is not big, but there really is no other choice, this one is not recommended for rain
