Quiet clean spot with great staff and superb breakfast. Short drive north of Lisbon Great spot if you don’t need to stay right in Lisbon.

What a place! Beautiful, with a very pleasant garden with a swimming pool and a huge kitchen garden which supplied the vegetables for our healthy and delicious dinner. We spent just a night as we are walking the Camino but I can see ourselves escaping the world and spend a couple of nights here doing absolutely nothing. Very polite and helpful owner Thank you

Casa das Portas ranks well above a 2 star property. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Bathrooms are modern . Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Dinner is available for those walking the Camino for 12 eur or 14 eur. Is was delicious and included vegetable soup and spaghetti bolognaise. Breakfast was also very good. A selection of warm rolls, juice, coffee and scrambled eggs. The owners are delightful and very welcoming.

Staff was terrific! Walked in after a challenging day on the Camino - I had a knee injury. We had a lovely dinner there. In the morning they secured my next reservation and a taxi ride to rest my knee. Room was very nice and clean.

This was a very relaxing stay during my Camino Portuguese! Place is spotless, food is delicious and green wine was so pleasing after a long day hike. There were only two people and each of us has got own room with four bunk beds) it is quiet inspite being near the road and I slept very well.
